Park Hyatt Beijing

Premium location with luxury rooms. A plethora of restaurants and points of interest around. Close to subway and public transportation. There is a nice nightclub inside the building if that's desired.

Not a five star hotel and not worth the price. This hotel does not live up to Park Hyatt name. It's a standard four star business hotel. Nice rooms, city view, and housekeeping. Poor overall service. Little English spoken. My experience was that they couldn't control room temperature. My room was 27c when it was 8c outside. They didn't really know how to respond to that issue in a way you expect from such an expensive hotel.

The China Bar has nice live music, which I greatly appreciated. However, my friends and I noticed that after 5 drinks each, we were still very sober. I stopped drinking cocktails and switched to drinking Havana Club 7 years on the rocks and confirmed that the cocktails didn’t have any alcohol. The place is a SCAM. BEWARE. Service is also somewhere between bad and mediocre. The staff doesn’t speak any English and they prioritize Chinese customers over foreigners.

I have stayed at this hotel many many times. And it’s a fine hotel: slightly dated, generally fine views, so-so breakfast. I come for business so in and out. Works for me. There is a structural problem with this hotel and that is they have no heating during parts of the year (unless the building turns it on). For example, it is right now October and 7 degrees at night outside, So it’s chilly outside, and there is no heating indoors. I find this ridiculous for a 5 star hotel. I walked into my room and found it too cold inside. I called them and was told that heating will not be turned on until November (heating controlled by the building). So they told me whether I need more duvets - this was 2 in the afternoon (which made me even more mad), but eventually dragged space heater into the room. I would have checked out immediately if it wasn’t that I was a bit tied up with a few work related stuff. If you are not afraid of indoors being a bit cold, then go for it. I will not be coming back to this hotel until the building turns on heat (they say sometime in November). Be sure to ask in advance.

The Park Hyatt Beijing is simply FANTASTIC. You must engage with Patrick in concierge for the ultinate expereince. Not only will I go back, I will tell and recommend to everyone that I know to go to this most wonderful city of Beijing and stay at perhaps the best hotel that theyve ever staayed at.

- very convenient location with direct link to subway - there are food options around the hotel which was great! - size of room is very comfortable - the counter staffs for check in and out are very helpful and very friendly! Kudos!!

- despite it being renovated in 2019, it looks very run down (carpet popping up/ mould in shower area/ peeling wall paper/ tile? / stains on carpet) - housekeeping is very bad : upon check in there was mala soup stains around the table and the table smelt of mala (upon wiping it was oily) . There were hair strands around the wall in the shower area. Fork and spoons not cleaned out after house keeping. Stayed for 7 nights but bed sheets were prolly changed only 2 times. - shower area is bad. It’s not enclosed so it was very cold during showering. Also we did not use the rain shower but it keeps leaking water whenever we shower. - room configuration is just irrational - breakfast spread was underwhelming
