Most everything at the Hotel was as expected superior in quality and service: the room was comfortable and spacious and the elevators operated with expediency (almost a floor a second). The only thing which was underwhelming was the breakfast offering- the staff was perfect but the food was less than expected in the bread, cheese and pastry department.

I stayed at Park Hyatt Beijing for just one night, and that was enough. My room was upgraded, which I appreciated, but the rest of the experience was frustrating. The restaurant was packed with guests in the morning. I didn’t bother waiting for the complimentary breakfast or fighting through the crowd — it looked more like a free-for-all than a luxury hotel meal. The club access offered by the guest experience manager wasn’t appealing either, since it was also full of people. All I wanted was a quiet place for my staycation, and that clearly wasn’t possible. The lifts were another headache — long waits, full cars, and multiple trips before I could even get in. To make matters worse, when I came back from breakfast outside the hotel, I found a maid in my room after 11am. asking if I had laundry. I was checking out later that day, so I have no idea why she was there or why she gave me that excuse. The only positives were the friendly lady who checked me in and the effort (whatever it was) from the guest experience manager. But overall, the hotel feels overbooked and overcrowded, unable to handle the number of guests it accepts. For the price and the brand name, I expected better. Don’t bother to be there on weekends.

Front desk personnel are helpful and very accommodating. Restaurant food s good and service is great. I highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent experience at the Park Hyatt in Beijing. I was continuously impressed with the service from everyone across the hotel. The room was in perfect condition and room service has an eye for detail. I appreciated the blackout curtains for best sleep. Breakfast is superb with options for all tastes.

On the first day of check-in, I noticed a puddle of water on the floor in the shower area. At first, I thought it hadn’t dried after cleaning. However, I was woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of water dripping from the showerhead. Since I already suffer from poor sleep due to a nervous condition, I didn’t rest well at all. The shower room itself isn’t fully enclosed, so it gets very cold when taking a shower. I had to close all the sliding doors just to avoid freezing, and even then, it was still cold. Although the curtains are double-layered, even when fully drawn, they don’t block out the light completely. In most hotels, you can’t tell whether it’s daylight outside unless you open the curtains — but here, the room lights up as soon as the sun rises. One day I wanted to eat something in the room. I picked up the first coffee spoon and found a ring of coffee stains on it. I took a second one, and it looked like it had just been licked. Then I picked up the knife and fork, and the knife still had food residue on it. Most hotels I’ve stayed at in China offer free parking. Even those located above shopping malls usually provide discounted parking rates for hotel guests, and if you park overnight, there’s often a cap on the fee. But here, there was nothing — 10 yuan per hour. I ended up parking the car back home(I’m local). Even with occasional parking, I still spent nearly 200 yuan just on parking. One day, I wanted a shower cap and expected it to be replenished in the room. But when I returned, I found that instead of a shower cap, two shoe polishing cloths had been restocked. The hotel apologized for the dirty utensils and offered a bottle of red wine. I mentioned I don’t drink red wine, but they still placed it in the room. I didn’t take it with me when check out, because a bottle of wine doesn’t make up for these unpleasant experiences. A hotel that charges over 1,800 yuan per night shouldn’t have such issues. The hotel’s solution — a bottle of wine that sells for a little over 100 yuan on Taobao — really felt inadequate and left a bad impression.

The hotel is stunning. The room was stylish, modern and large. Breakfast was delicious and copious. The view from the room was breathtaking. Very nice gym and steam room. This is truly a top notch high end hotel I would not hesitate to go back.

We stayed here 1 night and overall had a short but really nice stay. Patrick the concierge deserves 5* himself as he was exceptionally helpful with organising a car to take us to jinshanling Great Wall & also a car to take our luggage to the hotel on our arrival at the train station so we were free to head straight to the Forbidden city. He kept in communication with us and checked in to make sure we had arrived ok. We honestly couldn’t have seen as many sites without his help. He is a real asset to the hotel. We had a couple of issues but I do think it’s important to point out that these issues were sorted very quickly by staff, which does speak to the excellent quality of the service. Issue 1: the first room we were given smelt very strongly of smoke (clearly some silly guest before us hasn’t abided by the no smoking rules). We couldn’t stand it so we requested to move rooms. We were moved within 30 minutes which was great, and an excellent response from staff. It is disappointing that housekeeping didn’t pick up on this as it really wasn’t a room fit for putting guests in at that time. Issue 2: we couldn’t order room service through the TV / app as it wasn’t working. Housekeeping came straight up to help but couldn’t figure it out either, so we ended up translating our order over the phone, which ended up being no problem. The food itself was great quality. Issue 3: there was a mix up at checkout and staff tried to double-charge us for our trip to the Great Wall. Another staff member came to help but this did delay us by about 20 minutes. I think it reflects really positively on the staff and the hotel how the problems we encountered were dealt with, but I can’t give 5* to a hotel that puts guests in a room stinking of smoke. Other than that, our room (a king bed with CBD views) was very well appointed and felt really comfortable, we really loved the open plan layout & the amenities were spot on. The bar had great cocktails and fantastic views. The food from room service was really good. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. The location is very convenient being in the Yintai Centre and with direct access to the subway. If our room had been right first time this would have no doubt been 5*. An unfortunate situation which I’m sure is an uncommon occurrence. Still a lovely place to stay and we would stay again.

Applied suite upgrade award and received the suite with the best CBD view. The skyline view was fantastic and unforgettable. The bathtub was HUGE, with my favorite Le Labo Bergamote 22 amenities. The hotel located close to a metro station, providing convenient transportation to tourist attractions or needs for commuting. The breakfast was descent; having breakfast at the top floor with sunshine was enjoyable.
