Beautiful place.. Staff all really pleasant and helpful. Comfortable room and all very clean

Our stay was marred by the behaviour of other people's children, especially in the dining room, where the noise levels from some children were totally unacceptable. Maybe an earlier meal time or a separate space for younger guests would be helpful.

Food menu for Lunch and dinner didn't have enough options for vegetarians. We struggled to eat there

"The most perfect location with a few little niggles for us"

Gorgeous location , total peace and tranquillity

The positives Young chap on bar and later in restaurant (A Boxer!?) was incredibly friendly , professional and the touch of a glass of prosecco for our daughters 18th was a lovely gesture. Location ... Absolutely wonderful . 10 min drive to Salcombe The niggles We asked at check in (and again later) about booking 2 treatments for the spa and were told "it is busy, but I'll check." We followed it up and was told there was already a wait list and very busy. Didn't get the feeling they did look into to it as the hotel didn't seem terribly busy given we only booked 2 rooms that morning and if there was a wait list why offer to look into? Sea view room was beautiful , though French doors were so smeary and dirty you had to open doors to appreciate the vista. Our garden room was very musty smelling . Not an ideal shower : replacement head looked ancient and water went everywhere as shower tray so shallow . No soundproofing at all so heard adjacent guests throughout the night which was a real annoyance. Just little irks that for a 5* you'd not expect.

Amazing location, the view for breakfast and dinner was stunning and such close proximity to the beach. Great facilities and large comfortable room with added bonus of quiet outside seating area. Going down for a morning swim pre breakfast was heaven. Great food, really lovely staff - thank you so much

Landscaping & room interiors need a bit more tlc A better Shower Better planting needed not overly clipped lumps! Some nice psi tings in the room
