Econo Lodge Eutaw I-20

The property was good, the complaint I have is I requested a king bed on the site while booking but got to the property they told me no king beds was available, and I had to get two queen beds that I didn't want or registered for.

The night check in staff was great, check in was easy, nice the option to pay cash, and the room was clean. No bugs or stains. But the in room a/c does not work so despite cold outside the room was hot, the shower flooded the bathroom because it sprayed over the curtain rod and the curtain was to short, mini fridge has dent in door/ whole thing moves when you touch it, and sections on walls are putty filled but not done properly. Meaning there are still holes/ cracks.

Very old and not maintained well. Microwave stand was about to fall apart and fridge was falling through the base of it. Property needs a lot of maintenance. Breakfast they offer was horrible. When my family walked down, one pack of muffins available, barely any bread & no bagels, and had to pour drinks from jugs.

Liked that there was Food and Bingo across the street. Didn't like that the AC didn't work worth a crap. The bathtub was cracked in the floor of it. The was glue in spots where the bathroom tiles had to be glued down. Smelled of "strange" smoke although it was a NON-smoking room, sheets had fuzz balls (AKA pills) on them.

There was a charge to my card for a cancellation that the hotel cancelled. They were not even tryn to accomidate me at all until I asked to speak to the manager. The manager Sam was very helpful.

This property was expensive to have such undesirable rooms! Over- priced and no breakfast serve. I would have felt better sleeping in a rest stop. Try to help with better properties or I will find another source to use for travel.

The team operating the front desk were strictly business and not personable. Checking in was lukewarm. Checking out, the guy didn't even speak or smile. Just printed out my receipt and handed it to me.

Other than the front desk agent who checked us in, the staff was horrible. Just rude. Had a problem when I asked for extra towels for my 3 night stay!! Literally counted each town I handed them before giving replacements. I asked for a trash bag and was given one with an attitude. There is no breakfast. And the room smelled!! Weird guys creeping around at night!
