Econo Lodge Eutaw I-20

Rooms were roach infested. My first room had roaches and the room door did not close. When I called the front desk worker (Ginny), she told me she will fix it tomorrow… I asked her to move me to another room because that’s not safe and I wouldn’t be able to close or lock the door whenever I left the room. 2nd room was also roach infested climbing on the walls and a bunch of them going in and out of the ac on the wall. I complained again and Ginny told me she would have to bomb the place for the roaches but that it’s nothing else she can do. I also let her know unfortunately I was going to have to write a bad review and she unapologetically said “okay”. I would not recommend until they fix up the entire hotel and get rid of the pest issue.

Coffee maker in room doesn’t work. Breakfast was not available as advertised. Bugs in room. You have to cross ditch to enter parking lot. Elevator questionable. Desk personnel were no help.

Tv remote wasn’t programmed correctly so couldn’t watch tv but as we arrived late went to sleep. The curtains covered the A/C which kept room hot unless you opened the curtains so, No privacy. Very loud at night my teenage daughter was scared when someone at 3am was knocking on the adjacent door to be let in by yelling! Also as you walked down the hallway to your room the gap between the doors and flooring were about 3/4” to 1 3/4” gaps also no privacy. I travel the USA so am at many lower priced accommodations, I do this so that the property is aware as well as consumers. Please fix these issues, most are not too expensive to remedy.

This place is less then desirable, they advertised free breakfast on eliminated sign but NO breakfast, NO coffee offered. Econolodge has gone down. Room was okay but fridge was room temperature but running. Could have been much better with little effort.

Listed in Demopolis, but was over 1 hr n to Eutaw. Then another 20 min out of Eutaw. It was run down. The washer was broken..only dryer worked. There was a sign for a breakfast room but nothing, not even a granola bar. Muffin, coffee. VERY disappointed

The first room we were given had the tub blaring before we entered and the room hadn’t been cleaned. The halls and elevator reeked of cigarette smoke.

This was a safe and quiet place to spend a night for business.
