Hotel Shanghai Sheshan Oriental - Handwritten Collection

We took our teen daughters for a quick stay-cation during Dragonboat holiday. While the pools are definitely aimed at small children and the clientele is primarily families with very young children, it was still an enjoyable, relaxing break from city life. It was very easy to have the concierge arrange a local cab for us to visit Sheshan National Park, an area with an interesting observatory, basilica and family-friendly pathway through a bamboo forest.

This was a nice staycation for Shanghai, it is only about 30-45min away from the city center yet can feel like a real getaway. The pool and overall facilities are very kid friendly.

正對著泳池，風景不錯。房間乾淨整潔，床舒服，晚上休息得很好。要起大早打球這是個不錯的選擇。只是早餐一般，可能是第一批用餐的，東西不多，服務質素也一般般

Too far from everything

The stay was far from my expectations, this Sofitel is not at the standing of a 5 stars Hotel. We stay one night there and had many issues : the room is not soundproofed, you can hear all the people in the corridor, the check in was not friendly, we had no information about the stay : breakfast time, check out time. During the stay, people from the hotel entered the room without knocking and opened the door directly to repair a light, this is incredible ! The room service refused to provide us champagne glasses and ask us additional deposit by cash on top of the one given during check in. Of course, duty manager phone was never available. During breakfast, no water available, we requested a glass to the waiters and nobody could understand our request in Chinese and English. I will not recommend this hotel.

很適合親子旅遊

아이들과 주말을 함께하기에 최적의 장소입니다~!! 즐거운 시간 보냈네요~!!^^

We live in the center of Shanghai and I wanted to get away. The Sofitel is located within Shanghai municipality but outside the city. Clear blue skies greeted us. Lots of kid related activities from a kids pool and even the larger pool is only about 3 1/2 feet deep at its most and is made out to be like a large lagoon including beach front. Large kids water slide is at one end. Options to rent small kids row boats or inflatable rafts or other inflatables. There are also two kids play rooms, one with a soft play structure with slides and ball pit; the other with a few arcade type games. There was make your own ice cream bars in the lobby for 50 RMB. Over a week later and my daughter is still talking about the hotel; she wants to go live there.

상해 근처 근사한 수영장과 모래사장을 이용할만한 하루 휴양지로 가족여행에 좋습니다. 특히 아이들이 물을 좋아하고 모래놀이를 좋아한다면 더욱 더! 하지만 위치가 꽤 멀고 주변에 편의점 같은 아무런 시설도 없어서 돈을 아끼시려면 먹을 것 무지 사가셔야 합니다. 또한 아침이 맛이없다는 후기도 엄청 많아서... 그리고 조식을 포함하지 않은 저희가 적잖게 당황했던 점은 냉장고 자물쇠로 잠궈놨네요. 결국 호텔에서 식사를 해결하라는 이야기인데 짜증나서 냉장고 열어달라고 요청은 하지 않았습니다. 냉장고 사용에 돈을 내는지는 모르겠습니다. 그냥 모래놀이, 수영장 외에는 그다지 장점은 없습니다만 한번쯤은 가 볼만 합니다. I just liked the swimming pool and sand beach. It is just good for children. However, there is nothing such as convenient store around hotel so you must take a lot of food by yourself to save the money. In addition, the refregirator was locked... It was really disappointing. It is just good for one time trip. It is difficult to find this kind of place around Shanghai.
