The staff were excellent! Helpful and so friendly. The bed was very comfortable. We came from an overnight flight and had not slept, and the bed was great. The room was also very clean.

The food was not good at all. We did not enjoy breakfast and paid for it. Both days. The food we got in the evening was inedible. It was a big disappointment. The room was quite tired looking, could use an upgrade. However it was clean.

We had a lovely stay at The Chatsworth Hotel. It is a well preserved, turn of the 20th century building, with a prime location overlooking the promenade in Eastbourne. It is close to many restaurants in the town. The hotel has wonderful staff, who went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. The room we were given was large and had a partial sea view. It was comfortable and had a huge bathroom. They served a nice breakfast. I would stay again, should I find myself back in Eastbourne.

A calm and quiet place in the hustle and bustle of a busy seaside resort. Very large and spacious rooms giving one the opportunity to unwind without feeling boxed in. Staff were very professional and very helpful. Live Classical Piano music in the restaurant at dinner time evokes nostalgia and takes one back in time to a time when the resort was an elitist destination. One wished the live Piano music could be extended for longer and for more weekdays. The only drawback was the Shower pressure and Water temperature in the Baths that needs improving.

Lovely hotel with a history. Amazing old lift. Downstairs all refurbished common rooms and lovely piano room. Staff all amazing,very polite and friendly, made us feel at home. Certain areas need more updating and work done but I imagine this costs a fortune to do as the hotel was built in 1905. For example our window had a massive crack that I believe should be replaced or toilet roll holder was coming off wall etc.We had a great stay, please visit and support places like this👍

The location is perfect, across from the main promenade. The hotel was nicely decorated and provided a good breakfast. I thought the staff were wonderful. They made us feel so welcome and no request was too much trouble for them.
