Grounds were very pretty and relaxing. Property had lots of character and Staff were all professional, friendly and helpful. Food was amazing and room was a great size.

We stayed in the Heron which is one of the larger rooms but there was no mini fridge to keep water chilled, the WiFi was completely non existent throughout the hotel which was frustrating as being in a rural location, the phone signal was very hit and miss. The average age of residents was around 70, so very quiet, which whilst lovely did not give the hotel much of an atmosphere.

Very Disappointing. A large local group who don't like to complain. I was told the meals were all plated up (obviously overnight as potatoes were black and inedible) one member sent his meal back and we all agreed food was nearly cold. Sprouts too hard to cut so couldn't even try. Fish came out last after everyone had almost finished. Shortsited hospitality, word of mouth speaks volumes.
