"Nice grounds, poor service"

The outdoor grounds of this hotel are beautiful. However, the pool was very cloudy and full of insects and vegetation. I understand that this is not a top tier accommodation but it didn't seem swimmable for our kids. The service was poor. Nobody greeted us at the entrance. The reception employees were sitting around chatting and seemed to be inconvenienced by our arrival. The waiter/bartender in the cantina was also poorly trained. He was flustered by having to serve two tables, messed up our order, then behaved rudely to us for the remainder of the meal. The room was fine. Clean and relatively comfortable. There isn't much competition for accommodation in the area so maybe they just don't care to improve their client experience. Also, be aware that there is NO GAS in Catavina. Fill up before arriving!

The property was unkept, the pool was dirty and out of service, there was construction going on, and they didn't inform us. They could clean the cobwebs on the outside of the windows, dogs roaming around. they even charge for the WIFI per hour. Food was ok.

We dubbed this property as "hacienda charming." The charms: the courtyard with swimming pool and beautiful tile work, the wood shutters in the room (old fashion style), the meditation garden & gazebo, well-stocked game room. Tennis court outside, but needs a facelift. Overall, charming property.

It is ina beautiful place Unique to Baja Especially enjoy The quiet the desert The helpful pleasant staff the people that stay in their various rigs the dogs that live around there- But most of all- the desert Nice restaurant And pool And patio Its a good place Maybe some nice trails out back could be developed a bit more But gracias and thank you Always a favorite stop for me/us

Out in the middle of nowhere a charming older spanish rancher style hotel that's loaded with charm and beautifully maintained. food was excellent, staff was great!

Nice hotel in a remote location. Our room was nice but in need of a good dusting. There was no running water when we arrived and wifi isn't included
