Worst hotel we have stayed.. even a three star hotel is better than this property..dirty and ...no service..we travelled with two pet dogs.. They are pet friendly for name sake. You can only keep your pets in room cause they don't allow pet dogs anywhere...stray dogs are all over and they are aggressive...staff is terribly rude and will argue with you rather than serving..i would never visit them even if they offer me a free stay...waste of money

Waste of money, very bad management and not professional. Bathroom was very dirty and water clogging. No alternative provided and no response. Had to waste 3 hours in follow up and alternate arrangements and lower grade room was provided. No compensation. Food is not tasty and not hot. Looks like they are least bothered about customer. Service is bad, a new lodge will take care and provide better service than this resort. Think twice before booking.

the property is too large/wide. you can breath fresh air. rooms are maintained well, but not enough. breakfast is not at all good, most of the items are cold and old. staff is too less. crows menace during breakfast if you choose to sit out. Do not choose premium golf view cottage not worth all. the bathrooms are stinking. Imp'ly, never drink water kept in the room, bottles smells like hell. Intercom phone & WIFI not working. No house keeping number given. still HK staff Sudeep and his team doing the best they can. Reception team is just for standing tall and show off.

Chariot Beach Resort is blessed with an excellent location—arguably one of the best—offering private beach access and a swimming pool. These are the only reasons one might consider booking this resort. Unfortunately, beyond the location, the resort is very poorly maintained, and the overall quality has consistently degraded year after year. The front desk staff, particularly Kusum K and Raja, are extremely unprofessional and lack even basic customer service etiquette. They appear unaware of what hospitality and service truly mean, which significantly impacts the guest experience. The food is disappointing. The Gala Dinners are especially poor—attending them is a mistake if expectations are even modest. Breakfast is another letdown, with the same repetitive menu every day and very little focus on taste or quality. We were regular guests during Christmas Eve in the past, when the resort used to organize engaging events and decent Gala Dinners. Sadly, the standards have now dropped to the worst we have experienced. We strongly do not recommend this resort unless the management takes this feedback seriously and makes meaningful improvements

Zero value for money. Very disappointing experience. Breakfast was pathetic, no proper plates, unclean dishes, and extremely limited, subpar food (just a few types of upma). Rooms are very average, and the bathroom was the worst part. The TV had no channels at all as even the basic package was not recharged. With kids, having nothing to watch was quite disappointing, and despite multiple requests, no one fixed it until checkout. I genuinely don’t understand how this resort is still listed as a 4-star on booking sites despite so many bad reviews. Please don’t fall for the rating—this is closer to a 1-star property. The price charged and the services offered are nowhere near justified

I booked this resort for one day, but the rooms were not up to the standard mentioned on their website. They claim to be a 5-star property, but in reality, it felt like a 1-star hotel in terms of stay and service. Extra mattresses were included at the time of booking. However, when we arrived and requested them, the staff brought very old and torn mattresses that were in extremely poor condition—so bad that even scrap dealers would not take them. I had to visit the reception three times to follow up. Finally, the mattresses were provided at 10:30 PM, by which time the kids were already sleepy and waiting. The reception staff were unresponsive and showed a lack of proper communication and hospitality. There was no proper welcome or assistance. If you get a room here for ₹3,000–₹5,000, it might be acceptable; otherwise, it is a waste of money and very disappointing. There are much better hotels and restaurants nearby. The rooms are outdated and do not meet basic standards. The rooms are very old and not properly maintained.

Had a great dinner and Padma who served us and she was so kind. It’s was first time here and it was great and we enjoyed the resort and food.

Yesterday I came with a german group of 35 Persons in the Hotel, Chariot Beach Resort, Mahabalipuram. The whole group ist in such a way disappointed as we so the miserable condition of our 20 Rooms: very dirty Toilets, not enough Towels, pool in a pitiable situation etc. Some of us couldn't even sleep or go to Toilet. In India I have never seen such a dirty Hotel holing 4 Star! Please dont anyone this Hotel. I will poste some pictures of the disgusting condition of this house. The park around and the Beach are excellent.

STAY AWAY... NOT THE RIGHT PLACE the worst place ... very poor rooms, maintenace... rooms are poorly maintained... we had a Terribile time. They provided rooms- flush not working. FOOD IS SUB-STANDARD

The food was very nice, everything good. Also service was very prompt and efficient. We came with a group of 18 people and were served like kings by farukh and twinkle and the rest of the staff 🙏🏽 everyone thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The rooms are very neat and clean and spacious. All amenities are available. Comfy bed, hot shower, quality toiletries👍🏼
