"Great Staff"

6.0

The staff were really helpful and friendly, the food was good and a good selection of drinks. The room, however, smelt like a public toilet. I only paid £53 for a quick overnight stay here pre airport, but it felt like student digs. If you can afford the extra £30 to stay somewhere else then do it. Again, the staff were great!

"Minimalist and for 124£ for one night, I think 4 pillows for a double bed instead of 2 would be more sensible"

"Avoid until hotel seriously makes changes to show they value customers!"

1.0

I’ve never had to leave a bad review before for a hotel but here goes: - Hotel has no air con and the staff acknowledge this and just provide you small fans. They, too, don’t work! Being on the top floor, it was absolutely sweltering. The corridors are worse. I really should have up and left upon finding the room but it was a shortish stay and I thought it’d get better. Don’t stay here in summer or heatwave that’s all I can say! - Booked a superior room but felt basic. I dread to think of the standard rooms. While it was clean and furnished nicely, things don’t make sense. The lighting is all operated on one main system and it’s either all lights on or all lights off. So no nice ambient lighting in the evening, if you want that you have to sit in pitch black, and if you want to use the toilet in the night you have to turn all the lights on meaning that you awake anyone else in the room. Absurd and unbelievable they haven’t thought about this. It feels like a general sense of they don’t care. - Worst discovery ever : USED BLOODY TAMPON in the bathroom bin when I arrived!!! DISGUSTING. Guest or cleaner, I don’t know who’s it was but it had me questioning now the cleanliness of the room. Called reception up and she was apologetic and embarrassed, rightly so. - Kettle cord didn’t even reach a socket. Had to get crafty and make adjustments and use the bedside table. Who wants to have to get to thinking of this stuff on a trip? - No mini fridge in room - shocking! Never have I stayed anywhere without this. And with it being unbearably hot in the room it made this all the more hellish! - Toilet, like others suggest, feels like you’re in a ship cabin or portaloo. Cheap, confined and disconnected from the room. And a step up from the bedroom, which is dangerous. - No phone in room to call reception, so have to use your own mobile. Cheap cheap cheap. - Reception are generally lovely and the only good part of this experience in my opinion. Even they are aware and sympa
