"Lovely location but the building definitely needs a renovation"

The staff were very accommodating and responded to our requests.

The building we stayed in, the oceanfront building, had a lot of problems. Mildew, dirt, a faucet with a handle fell off, etc etc etc

Beautiful location on the beach. Complimentary upgrade to comfortable oceanfront room. Convenient parking. Excellent poolside service and bar. Breakfast on the patio facing the ocean.

No A/c in hallway of old portion of the hotel. Completeness of housekeeping was lacking in room.

We have been to the property many times over the last 27 years. It is a beautiful property. A wonderful setting. Awesome pools, on the beach, beautiful classic decor. Everything you would want in a hotel.

There has always been a high expectation at the King and Prince, an exclusivity if you will. Excitement and anticipation of the upcoming stay, knowing you would be pampered. A staff ready and able to take care of your every little need. This was not the case this visit. The staff seemed to have no desire to please, some even had an attitude. Wait times for food were unbelievably long (2-3 hours in one instance) due to staff just not showing up. At one point, we called to order room service during room service hours, and were told they were too busy taking care of people in the restaurant. It was almost comical. It seemed to be a theme for the weekend. One thing after the other. There were a lot of issues, these are just a couple of examples. Hopefully, this will all get resolved. It’s sad to think this long tradition may be over.

"Disappointing hotel"

The King and Prince has definitely gone down hill since I was last there. What a shame this iconic St Simons hotel has been allowed to go into such disrepair. The room had torn upholstery, dirty floors, a window in the bathroom that would not close due to rust, etc. It was way overpriced for the condition it was in. Several in our group had to change rooms having to do with cleanliness problems.
