The Richmond Hotel

Comfortable, but rooms a little dated. WiFi was advertised but non existent.

Staff was great, Room was abit run down, but still had everything we needed, I have nothing bad to say because it is a lovelt hotel and lovely staff, j enjoyed my time here thank you

Lovely visit & room had fantastic view of Torquay bay. The staff were really friendly & Breakfast consisted of full English, toast, cereals & fruit which was very nice. The hotel is up a steep hill so if you are without a car or have mobility issues don't book & then complain! Very traditional decor & could do with a repaint on the balconies but otherwise really lovely. The area around is quiet & the guests were mainly older generation on coach trips so no noise! There is entertainment on some nights which looked good. Overall would definately stay again.

Bit of maintenance going on in next room

The hotel is is a good location, nice decor and nice rooms. Some of the rooms have a great view of the ocean. In general, the staff are nice though at times they seem stretched a bit. (the front desk girl also doubles up as the bar server and also runs back and forth from the rooms as needed) The breakfast was reasonably priced and was quite good. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel.

When for short break lovely area bit hilly where hotel was ok going out as it was downhill lol. Had brecky included which was worth it we didn't have evening dinner but it was good price if you wanted it. Staff were lovely but hotel was up for sale and most of the decor including carpets was very tired. First pic is view from room.
