Christmas at Digby Pines was an enjoyable experience that given the opportunity I would repeat in the future. The hotel was decorated festively, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was memorable. I would do it again.

"First of Many Christmases at Digby Pines"

10.0

I was amazed by so many aspects of our stay at the Digby Pines for Christmas. I actually, do not want to write of the great experience I had at the Pines this Christmas, because I would like to keep the secret of this gem all to myself. All the staff were exceptional. All the servers were excellent; attentive, caring, thorough, and knowledgeable about the menu, buildings, and amenities as well as nearby attractions. Those that served our meals at different times and those I watched serving other clients displayed such traits and knowledge. All the guests were relaxed and enjoying the meals with smiles and conversation. Maintenance staff kept the whole place clear of snow, shoveled and salted, all while being friendly and responding to any questions or concerns. The staff of the Digby Pines were engaged, motivated, and worked well between departments, all together creating an amazing team and providing a fantastic experience. To all the staff, those seen by the guests and those working behind the scenes supporting, well done to the whole team. You made our experience forever memorable. The atmosphere at the Digby Pines was special. The Digby Pines is a fine, Grand Hotel of Nova Scotia. The buildings are well maintained and have great aesthetics. I cannot imagine how much time the staff put in to decorate the Hotel for Christmas. It could easily be seen that a great deal of care and forethought went into the effort. The final effect was beautiful and relaxing. I saw a lot of guests photographing so much of the Hotel and the decorations. For those who put it together, a big pat on the back, you all certainly can take pride in the positive reaction of all the guests. My daughter was able to enjoy the Spa while she was there. She was raving to all her friends and family when she returned about how special the staff was, and how well they took care of her. She was especially pleased with the haircut, style and treatments she received. Of course, the food and the ambience of the restaurant were fantastic. There is so much I want to write about the dining experience; the food, the staff, the décor, really must be experienced first-hand to truly understand how satisfying all the meals were. Relaxing contentment on each occasion. Once again, this is achieved by exceptional staff with knowledge, experience and teamwork. Such teamwork reflects good leadership at all levels. I could go on far more about the many great experiences I and my daughter encountered at the Digby Pines; the staff, the food, the atmosphere was all so marvelous. Maybe the best way to write of my encounter is to say, I so want to, and will come back to, the Digby Pines, again and again.

"Christmas at Digby Pines"

8.0

We recently spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at Digby Pines. Our stay was very enjoyable. The hotel itself, although showing signs of its age, is charming. The staff was warm and friendly and very accommodating. Small touches such as warm mulled wine, cider and homemade cookies added to the festive mood. The food , at Churchills, was very good and the portions extremely generous. We are certainly planning a return visit. Thank you for making our Christmas special.

"Would have been a nice property to stay at if it was better maintained."

1.0

The lobby of the resort was nicely decorated.

The guest rooms of the resort were dirty and dated. There were multiple bloodstains on the sheets on the bed when I checked-in. The water that came out of the bathroom tap was yellow. Despite this, no bottled water was provided in the room or at the front desk. The shower-head in the bathroom had pink mold on it.

"Pampered relaxation"

10.0

The service at Digby Pines was top notch. From the moment we arrived, Rexon made us feel like we were special guests. He was simply fantastic. Professional, yet personal. He took the time to engage and make our stay extra special. Rexon is a true gem! Ting made sure we were well taken care of for dinner(s) at Churchill’s. She had the right recommendations for things to see and do around Digby and always met us with a smile. The resort was beautifully decorated for Christmas, complete with Christmas music playing softly and a wood burning fireplace cracking in the lobby. It made for a perfect setting to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and a good book. Our 2 night stay was a perfect little getaway before the hustle of the holidays. We plan to return in the summer months to take full advantage of the outdoor spaces, especially the pool. Thank you, Rexon & Ting, for making our first trip to the Pines a memorable one and for showing us such warm hospitality.

"a beautiful place with beautiful people, and amazing history at a very affordable rate"

10.0

We came during the off-season so it may have been quieter than it would be at other times. If you like history, this is a perfect location for you. The original hotel was built in 1903 prior to the first world war and it was used to how the officers during the first world war. The architecture is something out of a movie and is absolutely beautiful. The staff from Rexon on the front desk, with his awesome sense of humour to Jess and Aurora in the dining hall and Jacqueline on the cleaning staff we’re all amazing and made us feel right at home. The breakfast was included, and it had a delicious egg, Benedict, a smoked salmon, bagel, and several other options which are included in the ridiculously low price. This is not a new hotel by no means, but if I was coming back to this area, I would absolutely come back to this place. We love their stay and would recommend it to anyone.

"Schlecht, magelhaft, ungenügend"

1.0

nichts
