The Gables Hotel

This hotel was perfect for our needs travelling further up Scotland. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable stay, good breakfast, friendly staff.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good. Room clean as was bathroom. Property in need of refurbishment. Rather tired. Paper thin walls, excessive plumbing noise from adjoining rooms.

What a fabulous holiday my wife and I have just had. Amazing and friendly staff and good food. Would thoroughly recommend.

The hotel is old and dirty ,would not recommend or return .

Always enjoy this place. Great staff, good value and well placed to break the journey up on the way up north. Didn't arrive till 10pm, but no trouble for them see you all again soon and many thanks

We stayed here to break our journey. The staff were friendly and helpful. The evening meal we had was delicious... really couldn't fault the food at all. The room was warm, comfortable and a good size with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. Some may say the room was a little tired but it had what we required for an overnight stay and was worth the money we paid! The en suite was a good size too with shower over bath. Shower not brilliant....a new shower head would probably sort out the problem.... plenty of hot water and complimentary toiletries.

The room could do with a lick of paint. Mould round the wind and in the bathroom. Breakfast not included for the price it should have been. Some banging on fire door for 3 hours so no sleep. Was like something out of faulty towers. Will not stay there again.

Great place just a bit up the road from the town but the place is great. Lovely breakfast and brilliant staff see you all in a couple of weeks :)
