Old Hall Hotel

Very comfortable bed, perfect location and good breakfast. The room had everything we needed including tea, coffee and biscuits. It is obviously a centuries old building but that adds to the character and charm.

Stayed here for one night with a friend on a bed,breakfast and 2 course meal deal. From the moment we arrived we had a lovely welcome from the manager Alastair Massey and the receptionist organised the parking permit-there’s lots of spaces in front of and at the side of the hotel, £6 for 24 hours. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms very clean. This is an old character full hotel. The 2 course meal was taken in the bar area with a great selection and the food was amazing! I had potted shrimp and crab risotto which were both spot on and the wine was tasty too. Breakfast was a relatively small buffet but ample choice and in the pretty restaurant room. The hotel is in a great spot in the centre of town opposite the pavilion and gardens and the theatre. Lots of shops, eateries and bars/pubs in walking distance. We’d definitely stay again, Thankyou.

I have been before so I know what to expect

We used The Old Hall when watching a show at the opera house, very convenient. Staff are friendly and helpful, nice and clean, parking is easy as I have a disabled badge.

The lift wasn't working,but I realise it's an old building and the lift is old as well.

Great location near The Opera House We were able to have breakfast at The Crescent Hotel situated next door as the kitchen was closed at Old Hall.

We have stayed at Old Hall a few times, but this was the worst room we have stayed in. It was very small for a double, only space for one bedside table. Dated furniture and carpets. Poor sound proofing. There was black mould on the windows. The floors were very uneven, I daresay this is due to the age of the property.

We had Sunday lunch in the bar which was tasty and plentiful. The staff were very attentive and made our whole experience memorable. We will be back
