The Masthead Resort

I was charged $30 to park on site in a reserved parking spot. However, my vehicle didn’t fit in the spot. I additionally had to pay for public parking after driving around the block 2x. Along with that the door didn’t completely lock and I was woken up by construction the next morning. I politely texted the front desk clerk and asked for at least a refund on parking and haven’t heard back from anyone since Monday.

We found a nspkin on the side of the bed. There was black hair still stuck inside the wall of the shower. I’m not just talking about a strand. It was a lot of hair. The rooms need to be updated. Everything needs to be updated. I felt like I was staying at my grandparents. So many tiny ants in the bathroom and sliders in the living room. They don’t tell you about paying for parking until you get your welcome email after booking that it’s 30 dollars. Then you check in and it’s 30 a day. I could have stayed somewhere more modern closer to town for free parking. No one should charge for parking when we are paying to stay at your establishment. Our first stay was better than this room I won’t be back.

Very clean and comfortable. Right on the beach. Historic yet modern, the best of both worlds. Hate to leave this hidden gem.

My friends and I stay at the Masthead atleast once every summer. We have stayed in a handful of the units and each of them have been just as great. The staff is friendly and they keep the grounds clean. We love having access to the private Masthead dock which is a great spot to watch fireworks or just people watch ! Highly recommend a stay at the Masthead !

I've stayed at the Masthead every year for Memorial Day Weekend for the past 3 years. We are a group of 3 and usually stay in one of the 2BR 1BA units. We love the location and especially enjoy relaxing on the private dock! I am looking forward to our annual trip again this year.

My wife and I moved to Cape Cod in 1978. We would occasionally visit Provinetown for a day trip but frankly we were never big fans of the Commercial St. scene. Our adult children had vacationed in Provincetown several times and they stayed at the Masthead. They raved about it. Given their strong endorsement, we stayed at the Masthead for 3 nights in late July of 2023. It was an extraordinary visit! The accommodations, the ambience, and the setting were remarkable. The Masthead location reminded us of the best aspects of Martha's Vineyard. We returned in 2024 and we are going again this summer. We will go to the Masthead every summer as long as we can. John Ciluzzi and his staff are the best of hosts. My wife and I would rate our now annual Masthead visit as our best trip of the year.

Masthead is a perfect getaway! Being on the beautiful ocean and just a short walk into town .Its a very peaceful spot to enjoy with friends and family. Theres so much to do and see very close by. Many restaurants, shops and beautiful beaches at your fingertips .The cottages are always spotless and the staff is very kind .
