We loved that it was a historical building in a perfect location.

The property desperately needs a deep cleaning, and they could try a little harder with breakfast.

I absolutely loved my experience at The Beaufort Inn. It's my first visit and was for a work retreat. The rooms were furnished simply yet classically. The decor was so appropriate for the space. I had everything I needed. The sense of security was great as it feels like a villa with its collections of Inns. I loved the breakfast which felt like much more than continental. The courtyards with running water through the property were super special and added to the peacefulness of the overall experience. I especially enjoyed that it was in walking distance, less than 2 blocks from the waterfront. It was truly worthy the journey to get to it. I'd highly recommend it and would love to visit again!

A lovely exterior and prime location masks rooms in dire need of renovation! I was excited to stay here and upon entry everything looked great. My room, however, was unacceptable. No shampoo (had to ask twice to get it refilled), dinged up furniture, lumpy pillows, thin sheets, non-functioning TV and thermostat, broken phone. Amenities mentioned on the site such as “plush robes” were non-existent. Rooms 5 and 6 in the main inn are next to the loudest HVAC system I have ever heard, making sleep difficult. Mildew in the tub grout, peeling paint. Breakfast was weak. No water in the rooms. Never received a final invoice. I hope someone invests in improving this property as it is in a fantastic location.

The Beaufort Inn is one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever experienced! I recently visited Beaufort, South Carolina's The Original Gullah Festival for the first time and stayed at The Beaufort inn. It is in the historic downtown area and is within walking distance to the lovely Chambers Park as well as many restaurants and even a bank if you need an ATM!!! It is a boutique hotel with a gorgeous main building and several magnificent cottages that line one block. I was there for one week, and the hotel rooms were reasonably priced! I stayed in a Queen Cottage for two with a friend. The room was cleaned daily. I loved the rain shower in the bathroom!!! It didn't bother me that there was no bathtub for this room. There was also a mini refrigerator, and machine for ice, coffee, and tea. I wish there had been a microwave for warming up food we couldn't finish while at a restaurant, but could eat later as a midnight snack. I enjoyed the continental breakfast. The hotel does not serve lunch or dinner, but there are a number of nice restaurants along the Chambers Park and Historic District as well as the suurrounding Islands. I helped myself to Biscuits with a variety of fruit, jams and spreads, bacon, donuts, coffee, tea, bagels, and cereal. One thing I was disappointed with was the lack of authentic Southern cuisine in Beaufort, SC, as well as the nearby islands of St. Helena, Port Royal, and Lady's Island, like fish and grits, fried chicken, sweet potatoes, collard greens, and even sweet potato pie!!! Overall, I had a FANTASTIC time! Book early. Rooms sell out fast around the time of the Gullah Festival. Maybe next year I'll stay for two weeks--so many wonderful things to do and see!!!

Convenience Grounds were maintained nicely.

For the price we were extremely disappointed. Rooms were clean. No blankets, no microwave. Carpet was heavily stained making it appear dirty. Room had no ambience, personality for the price.

We have stayed here about (7) times. We love this property, it was PINK in color and when we arrived and saw it painted White were surprised because for us it was such a statement in it's PINK color. I am mentioning this in case you have stayed there before but were confused by the photo in white. It is the best location and has several room options for all occasions. Staff just smiles and ask how your stay is going, it is just so friendly and wonderful. We love that there are a few pet friendly options as we travel with our sweet boy. Breakfast is included and is standard but has a few extras, like sausage and gray and biscuits. We don't eat this as we are watching our shapes but it is a nice southern option to offer. The INN used to give vouchers to a few eatery's in town but now they have it in house which is nice. Bikes are great to ride through the historic streets or walk as well. It is just a lovely place.

This place checks all the boxes, and then some!! It's more like a compound, than a hotel as there are numerous buildings and cottages woven through lovely grounds with comfy sitting areas. The main hotel is gorgeous, with a substantial area for the breakfast service, a library with a large puzzle table, and a grand staircase (plus elevator). We stayed in a 2 queen unit in one of the "townhouses" on the grounds. Comfortable room with a HUGE shower, soft sheets and comfy beds. AC worked well, and the rocking chairs on the porch were a nice touch. Breakfast was simple, but yummy. Biscuits with optional gravy. Blueberry scones that were to die for. Bacon, yogurt and Chai pudding with granola, coconut and fresh fruit. The coffee was available all day, with juices in the AM. The courtyard seating was a nice place to visit with other guests, or plan your day! The staff was exemplary!! From check in to the room attendants, they were very engaging and helpful. The hotel is right in the heart of town, with a parking lot adjacent thats free to guests. We will definitely be returning to this lovely place!!
