Fantastic overnight stay plenty of room clean would recommend

This is a budget hotel so expectations were low but this was not a pleasant place to stay. They had our booking wrong when we arrived though they did sort this out for us fairly swiftly. The rooms are sparse, there were unpleasant smells in apartment rooms, missing light bulbs and poor amenities. You can hear people in the rooms next door. The communal areas were dated and uninviting. Thankfully we were just using it for an overnight stay and we left without risking breakfast.

Nice property well located and equiped as expected nothing more. Nice stay overall.

Where do I start ! Having never written a negative review before , I generally send a private message if it’s really bad, I wanted to put this out there ! As a traveller from out of France where you rey on wifi , there is NO WIFI in the rooms ! There was s slow wifi at reception but this was 300 metres from our room . We therefore couldn’t contact front desk( no phones in room) or our father in law who was placed in a room 200 metres away. We were on a ground floor room which was actually spacious and fine but no sound proofing so every time people above us moved or coughed, we heard it ! To make matters worse my father in law became ill ( not their fault) and front desk couldn’t have given a damn. I spent the whole time sprinting between our rooms and reception just trying to get messages to people , then had no sleep due to noisy room and breakfast was gross . The review of 1 is for the spacious room. Rats from a sinking ship springs to mind !

We will never stay here again: they charge an insane daily rate on top of the price and the service we received was not compensatory for this fee. The “apartments” did not have Wi-Fi (even though the booking said it did), but worst of all there is no air conditioning and it was so hot!! We had to leave the windows open and there were no screens so bugs kept getting in. It was a battle between sweating to the point where we cannot sleep or get eaten by bugs. Also there was no air dryer, shampoo or toiletries in the bathroom and there was not a telephone in the room to call the front desk either which is crazy given you have to walk a quarter to get to the “apartments. We also ate at the restaurant which had terrible food and incredibly slow and poor service. Save your money if you can - go anywhere but here!

The rooms are spacious and kitchen is outfitted nicely. HOWEVER, we checked in on the hottest day on record and no air conditioning and the fan they graciously provided was so small it didn’t move much air. Whole family was up past midnight until it started to cool down. Also, there is no internet Wifi to speak of. From our building, one of the closest to the lobby, the WiFi signal would come and go AND when it was connected the data rate was throttled down so much only simple text messages could be sent. Pictures timed out after 30 minutes. I will not go back and would not recommend. Nothing wrong with the staff, they were nice and as helpful as could be. The infrastructure is lacking.

An excellent place to stay during a trip to Amboise and the Loire region. The accommodation is affordable, clean and comfortable and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Our first impressions of this place were of an abandoned Soviet prison camp. Images of Northern Cyprus also came to mind. A very strange place, with unloved scruffy surrounds. Our first floor room/ studio was clean, of a good size and quiet however, there was no charm. The downstairs entrance and stairwell did not smell good, but the studio itself was okay. None of the balconies had furniture, which seemed odd. There was an exceptionally small swimming pool (un-charmingly fenced in). This also seemed odd, considering the sizeable amount of land available for development. It was not possible to walk into the centre of Amboise as the roads did not have pavements and were quite busy. On the positive side, checking in and out was quick and easy. The young ladies on reception spoke good English and were friendly and helpful. I can see how this place works okay as a conference centre but, its not great for holiday makers. We did not eat here so, cannot comment on the food. All in all, it was functional and okay for one night though, we wish had had stayed elsewhere! My husband found it depressing.

Location Ideal for a stop off for the long journey south. Good facilities- swimming pool etc Nice bar and restaurant with excellent food.
