Villa Bellagio Amboise

Clean room. Early check in would be better as travelled over night. quiet as end of season. Good food and friendly staff.information to buy coffee and filters for the machine would have been helpful.nice touch to order pastry but not explained to collect from reception . We thought it would be at the door so we waited in the room. Lovely meal every evening and now was great we loved it and buffet choice on two nights.

The location is good. The parking is to far from the cabins. No lightning at night.

Very disappointing experience. These things are negatives: 1. WIFI. Very unreliable. We had to tether to our phones and use our data the whole stay. Management was VERY unhelpful. Basically, "come to the lobby". Here is the thing, the lobby with almost no outlets to plug in. Noisy. Hot. 2. SECURITY. The units are not air conditioned and each has entrances and windows that open to the outside. If they are open, anyone can walk in. No security for the grounds either, anyone can drive in. 3. ATMOSPHERE. This place looks like a failed adventure from 2008 where the investors were fooled by a bad idea. The remnants were picked up by a hotel operator who brought the rooms to code for occupancy, but never finished the rest of the plans. I feel like I am in a scene from a dystopian movie where we live in a camp. No living lawn. No landscaping. Dirt walks to the units. Weeds un-noticed and un-kept. 4. POOL. It looks relaxing in the photos but is WAY undersized. Imagine a bath with 50 of your closets friends.

Rooms contain kitchen, bathroom, separated toilet, living room and great bed Very practical (with dish washer, freezer, dishes, ....) and very quiet (which becomes rare now) Swimming pool is quite undersized for the amount of people but was clean and easy to access Breakfast is not very healthy (industrial food includind bread and juice)

Good spacious accommodation with good range of basic facilities. Pool is on small side considering size of site, but clean and kids had lots of fun. Well located to reach surrounding attractions.

Only stayed one night but would return. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was self catering chalets rather than a hotel with a bar and restaurant on site where you could pay for breakfast if wanted. There was a bouncy castle, football goals and table tennis set up outside, as well as the outdoor pool which was welcome in the heat! Chalets were spacious and well laid out for the 5 of us. Sofa’s were a bit old and not very comfortable but beds were comfortable. There was a singer performing outside at the bar on the evening. Only issue we had was that night the restaurant only had a set price BBQ on offer which was costly for us so we ended up at a McDonalds which was a little disappointing for us. We were happy with the resort apart from that and we would return.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I stayed there for three nights, and it was litteraly the worst service I have ever experienced. The staff was not helpful with anything. Even asking for an extra toilet roll was too much to ask for. We had dinner there one evening and it was horrendous. The food was way below average. We were served the same dessert in different bowls, which meant that we did not get the same amount of dessert either... Ten minutes before check-out they knocked on every door to make sure we were on our way out, and they even came back to control ten minutes later. The staff was unfriendly and agressive, with no sense of professionality at all. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!

Arrived very late Thursday 31st May. Receptionist on duty was quite rude when handing out the room keys. Breakfast, the day after, was ok though with a limited choice. We ate a group dinner on Saturday evening. There were two waiters on duty to attend the bar, other guests and our group of 30. Too few waiters on duty. The food was , at best , mediocre and at 20 euro for 3 courses not very good value for money.

Jem of a find. I would have given it 5 star if internet worked fine! My rating is 4.5 Star. Rooms are really equipped. There are 4 of everything-cup, plate fork, knife.. . If you are visiting the Loire region for a few days, you can consider making this hotel as your base. Room is really big, it’s fully equipped studio apartment. Bed is in one corner, and the living area has the sofa bed, flat screen tv (there are no English channels,however) a small dining table and 4chairs. The kitchenette is fully equipped. To top it all, everything was spotlessly clean! The room is calm and the hotel provides easy access to Chanenceau, Cheverny and Amboise.

The Villa Bellagio was great value for money. The apartment was quite large, clean and comfortable. The resort has the potential to be luxurious but is lacking in maintenance and the grounds and exterior of the buildings are quite untidy and run down. The entrance to our building was quite smelly but inside the apartment was fine. The apartment met our needs very well for our 2 night stay.
