Overnight stop before cycling along the Loire. Family room good size with two single pull out beds for children. Double bed big and comfy. Air con good. Pool small but ok. Helpful staff who provided somewhere for my husband to heave his bike. Had dinner - children's good value, adults a little small. Beer seemed expensive at €7 for a large but then exchange rate is awful!

Our stay was for 2 nights, visiting Blois. Check-in was smooth but when we got to our non-smoking room it smelled like it had been smoked. Went back to the reception and they immediately gave us another room which was fine. The room was nice and clean, rather large for French standard and price. Everything in the room was clean and in working condition. Breakfast was plentiful with god choice so I highly recommend. Great for kids as the hotel has a pool, a rarity in affordable French hotels. However not a recent hotel and grounds are not maintained as much as they should but the basics are right and so is the price. I would certainly return.

The hotel is nice with a nice swimming pool the restaurant is very good and breakfast is wonderfull the service is good . The room is clean with a nice bathroom .It has a good price and a good quality The staff is nice and gentle

Stayed over heading back to the ports from the Languedoc. Pretty easy to find with a selection of eateries not far away. Room was clean, hot water aplenty and good pressure in the shower. Reception were polite but confused by our reservation for a family room (which they had) and wanted to give us separate rooms.

The two issues I had were: 1. It advertised BBC News available - When asked the clerk said it may be out and she'll call the technician the next day. 2. The dining area service was slow and the food quality was poor. I had the toughest piece of veal I have ever had, as did my wife. We brought that to the attention of the waitess, but she had no comment. Other than those issues, the hotel and staff were very good.

Stayed right outside of downtown Blois - very nice hotel and reasonably priced. The hotel was well located but off the main highway and very quiet. Lovely pool area and a dining room with separate bar area, also had patio dining. Food was good - offered breakfast, lunch & dinner. Price did not include breakfast. Room was very comfortable and roomy... lots of room for luggage, cameras, etc. It was very clean and well stocked with bath towels, etc. Staff had limited English but we had no trouble communicating with them. We would definitely stay there again.

Having sailed on a late ferry from Dover and driven from Calais we arrived, shattered, around 2:30 am at the Bellagio. It was quite difficult to find, even with Satnav, given its location a little outside of Blois in a residential area close to an industrial estate, so when we set foot over the threshold we were grateful to have a most warm and hospitable welcome from the gentleman manning reception. It's not a four or five star and yes, the furnishings in the rooms are a little outdated, but it was clean and perfectly comfortable, with tv, a well appointed large shower room and tea/coffee making facilities (although I did have to put the kettle on the floor to boil it as the flex wasn't long enough to reach the socket from the table!). But no real hardship. We weren't paying four/five star prices. In fact, the cost was more than reasonable. At breakfast, which could be taken inside or outside, there was a very good choice of bread/pastries, savoury hot food plus cereals, yoghurts, cakes etc. And a self service hot drinks machine. We didn't eat lunch or dinner here so can't comment. There was a small pool which we didn't have time to use, but would have done had we been able to spend more time here. Sadly we had to go home! All the staff were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. We would have no hesitation in returning another time and in recommending this little hotel for use as a base from which to explore the Loire valley and the numerous wonderful sights this beautiful region of France has to offer, pamphlets for which are available in/near reception.

We stayed at this hotel during our last family vacation and we must say that it really needs a refurbishment. The carpet in the rooms had a life of its own and the damp smell was overwhelming. Another downside of the hotel was that the restaurant was already fully booked at the time of our check in (around 4pm), so we had to go find somewhere else to eat. The staff at the reception, although very courteous, was clearly overloaded and could not provide a proper service (e. g. We asked for additional towels that were going to be brought to us 'right away' and we are still waiting for them...) The only upside is the pool if you are travelling with kids. We will not come back.
