Holiday Inn Kenilworth - Warwick by IHG

The food was nice.

The room we were given on the 4th floor was boiling with no air con, this made it impossible to sleep and was extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom floor was scalding hot due to rising heat which I pointed out, they said they would look into it and come back but never returned. The room was far too hot with little airflow. The fans provided made no difference. Measures should have been put in place for the hot weather.

Location is good. Top of a high street and easy accesible parking. Room was a decent size.

Sad state for an IHG hotel. Tired and dated rooms. Only 2 plug sockets, no usb chargers and no air con. Choose hotel due to pet friendly, allocated rooms on 5th floor, no air con and one fan in 30 degree temperatures! Reception staff not overly keen to help, either short staffed or lack of customer service.

Lovely room with good views over Kenilworth. We stayed during Farm Fest so prices higher than normal for a classic Holiday Inn but that's supply and demand. Great buy for a standard weekend.

Shower was okay but a standard pole one with little oomph.

Check in was efficient although the breakfast hours for bank holiday Monday were unknown

Air conditioning was not working effectively,. Matress was very soft. We were at breakfast around mid session and the bacon had run out, no semi skimmed milk was available.

My room didn't have air conditioning as advertised on the website, i moved rooms to one that also didn't have air con but was a bit cooler. However the tv did not work in this room.

Our rooms were not ready. We had two Family rooms, check in is at 3pm. We got there 3.20pm. Had to wait for our rooms as they were dirty. It was extremely hot, no offer of anything to compensate us for the delay, not even a glass of water. We had a very tired 5 year old. One room became available 10 mins later and second one at 4pm. Other guests were being checked in as normal whilst We were still waiting. In one room the bed was sunken in, the toilet didn't always flush and took ages to fill. Second room the shower has really hot water and wouldn't cool even at the cold setting. Overall not a great experience. The rest of the staff were really helpful and welcoming.

Staff were pleasant and welcoming, and quick to respond requests. Plenty of free parking. Great town centre location next to lots of bars, restaurants and shops. Communal areas were nicely presented and the breakfast selection was good.

Our stay was overpriced at £382 for a double room for 2 nights The room - while clean - was very small, very tired and in need of a major update. Our air-conditioning was broken (a fan was speedily provided on request). The hair dryer had a degraded plastic surface and sounded like it was about to explode. The shower was only hot - changing the temperature control made no difference. The lift felt quite uncertain - the doors took ages to creak open. The TV was dated and the remote control wasn't complete.

The room and food was nice but we asked for more towels and didn’t get any we also booked a dog friendly room and weren’t sure where the dog was ment to go. The air conditioner wasn’t working so the room got so unbelievably hot
