The reception and breakfast staff were excellent

Quiet ,Access and parking were good, convenient to our objective , food offered and supplied was good with a varied menu, clean and tidy room although in the top of the Hotel being very hot

Run of the mill very basic room, although it was clean it was very tired looking , the temperatures did not help the situation with NO air conditioning, although a 14” desk fan was supplied to keep an attic room cool !!! , kitchenete taps were leaking the first night all over the floor , but rectified the 2nd night , no breakfast supplied or offered although this was notified on the website

The room was amazing, spacious, bright and airy. Staff were helpful and friendly. Loved the feature timbers in the room. Fluffy towels. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options.

The clocks were slightly spooky at breakfast, there's maybe ten different clocks in the restaurant. All slightly out of synch, and so around the hour they all go off. The bathroom was quite tired, plenty of cracked tiles. I would stress that these are quite minor points. The stay was excellent. A real pleasure to have spent the night at a historical hotel.

It's very difficult to stay here as someone over 5ft 10 as the ceilings are very low. The cooked breakfast was only ok so didn't have it on the 2nd day. No bottle of water in the room

Lots of stairs to climb, but that’s obviously because it’s an old building with character
