Lovely building it has a lovely feel. It’s very clean and the staff are very pleasant. Breakfast is excellent.

Central location. Historic building.

The room was very dated, in serious need of a refurb! There was a hand and body soap, but no little vanity kits or toiletries. The bar closed at 10pm. Whilst breakfast was good, the only cooked option was full English. Am sure they would have done eggs on toast or something but very disappointed in the whole experience at the price we paid. Would visit Southwell again but would not stay here again.

Excellent historic coaching inn with impressive interiors and a beautiful courtyard

Lovely clean room, very comfortable bed. Staff were really friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night for our 22nd wedding anniversary. Breakfast was gorgeous lots of choices. A lovely relaxing stay in a gorgeous room and hotel. The hydrangeas in the court yard are stunning.

Fan didn’t work. TV didn’t work. Shower was either freezing or boiling. Towel rail in bathroom was red hot, unable to regulate it - during a heatwave!
