Hilton Grand Vacations Club Grand Waikikian Honolulu

We stayed at the Grand Waikikian twice before and were VERY disappointed this time. Paid for a 1 bedroom suite with ocean view, not very clean at all, no one slept the first 3 nights. There was a loud bang every 15 minutes coming from inside our wall. On the third night at 2:30 am I went to the front desk and asked to be moved or fix the noise. They sent maintenance up at 3 am who “confirmed the noise” but there was “nothing they could do”. The next morning we spoke to a manager and were moved but it was a downgrade. The new room hadn’t even been cleaned! There was pee all over the toilet seat, down the front, on the floor, sheets were not cleaned and smelled, the sofa bed sheets were still folded up into the couch and used, the washing machine smelled so bad I refused to wash our clothes in it and had to keep it closed, the drains and toilet were clogged, the bathtub would gurgle anytime someone flushed or drained something somewhere else (bathtub is in the room, so good luck sleeping), you could hear everything the people above you were doing all the time. They sent room service up to clean, but it wasn’t done well and the pee spots on the floor remained the rest of our stay. When room service showed up at 9-9:30 am and we were still waking up, some said they couldn’t come back if we didn’t leave in the next 30-60 min for them to clean the room. I spoke to a manager who didn’t help resolve any concerns, and nothing was done to help us enjoy the stay. Do not recommend!

We booked this property for the convenience. When we arrived they were able to get us a room earlier than check in time which is great since we have a baby. But then we were directed to a little area away from the lobby. I didn’t know that the property was a time share. So they tried to get us to do one of those meeting things. We declined and they respected that so that was great. The room itself was a little run down, the beds weren’t hotel quality. They could have done better by cleaning it, when we arrived there were crumbs and bathroom sink wasn’t clean. My baby crawls and I could tell the floors were not cleaned right, he’s hands and feet were brown from the dirt. The outside patio was not cleaned at all there were dead roaches and I definitely couldn’t let my baby out there because the outside floors were black. There’s no food in the property you have to walk to near by restaurants which are pretty mediocre as well. The pool waters are cold but it didn’t stop my teen from swimming. Parking was overpriced we ended up finding parking a block away for half the price. Overall we did have a pleasant experience, location was very convenient, hotel is quiet, and staff were pretty friendly.

Great place to stay, highly recommend! Go to Goofys restaurant, 2 minute walk and its fantastic!

The room is not the same as pictures. I booked a room with bathtub in bedroom, but got a room where the tub is in washroom, not in bedroom. Also the room is at 5th floor and close to intersection so it’s noisy in balcony, without view. It’s disappointing overall.

We had a great stay! Our room was a one bedroom suite and it was perfect for us and our 1 year old. -There were plenty of places to eat or get takeout from. - the ocean is very accessible and not as crowded as Waikiki - we love the pool there. There is also a small lake that the baby can splash around before going into the ocean. We will definitely be coming back here!

Suite is spacious and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Beside the pools you can swim in the nice calm lagoon or the Pacific! Food choices are plentiful and very good! Although the restaurants and gift shops are a little expensive. Short walk or drive will get you to more reasonably priced goods. All in all we really enjoyed the resort!

I can’t speak highly enough of the hotel staff from Linh (I think that was her name) to our housekeeper. Everyone was just so friendly and helpful. We were a party of 6 ages 59-75 and stayed for 5 nights. We were able to meet some of the other guests who also were very complimentary of the hotel. We had a 2-bedroom unit. It was very clean and welcoming. We had incredible views of the ocean and Diamond Head. The pool is on the 3rd floor and not crowded which made it easier to talk with some of the other guests.

Great place to come with the family. Brought our grand baby not knowing what to expect. Actually really worried there wouldn’t be a crib or high chair for the baby. Upon arrival we asked as we were checking in for both items. By the time we got to the room there was a knock on the door-both nice crib and high chair. Very accommodating staff. Would recommend this Hilton to everybody!!! No complains😎
