"A pleasant stress free stay."

No fuss checking in. Parking onsite was a real bonus. The room was nicely decorated and very clean and tidy. Fridge in the room was another bonus. Beds were comfortable.

The curtains were quite thin and meant light sensitive guests may be woken earlier than they would like.

The staff and bedroom was lovely. It was quite small but it had a cozy vibe during the stay

Unfortunately there was a bit of mould in the room, behind the nightstand on the right side of the bed. Wasn't too bad or horrendous, I just believe that it should be amended before the next stah

"A comfortable stay close to the city walls at a budget price!"

Great location- coop over the road which was handy! And only around 10-15 minutes walk from Bootham bar- where you can get the Hop On City Tour Bus, and it's a good location for pretty much everything in the city walls! The staff were lovely, always really friendly! I liked that we had a fridge in the room- something you don't really see often and it was really handy to keep drinks and snacks cold! The beds were very comfortable and unlike most hotels we actually had enough pillows!!!! Two night stay- bins emptied and fresh towels on the second day which we were not expecting!!! Breakfast was good, cooked to order which meant we could ask for changes to the breakfast- a simple English Breakfast and a small range of cereal available with tea, coffee, apple and orange juice. Check in was quick and easy! Room was comfortable and not a lot of noise (Wednesday and Thursday night- there is a pub a few doors down, unsure if it would be so quiet on a weekend night) Overall a nice little guest house!!

Verrrry warm in the room- windows didn't open very wide and no fan in the room (we didn't ask for one, so unsure if there was one available to use). Dining room is very small and it was a little uncomfortable and felt a little cramped, I would imagine when it's full it's a little claustrophobic in there, but it wasn't really an issue for us as it wasn't full either morning. One of the bedside lamps wasn't working which meant only one of us had a lamp to read and not a massive amount of plug sockets. I'd have to be really nitpicking to say anything negative though really, the negatives are really very minor!
