Too easy to book but ni reminder to cancel. Didnt stay

Had a call 6pm on day of booking to ask what time we arriving The non understanding of why we couldnt come. No reminder of our stay booked November 2025 . We lost a parent bad health no reminder from them or booking .com of our Feb 2026 booking . Asked for refund of money taken out of my bank or change to another date. Hotel said no. Took£250 out of bank. Booking .com said hotels decesion .

This hotel was everything we needed. Just a 5/10 minute walk from York Minster and everything else. It was clean and tidy and had a fridge in the room which was a bonus.tv had lots of channels to watch. Lots of storage place for clothes etc. The bed is so comfy! Parking included which for York is brilliant as parking is expensive. The staff were friendly and helpful. Everything worked.The shower was amazing. Its one of the nicest places ive stayed in in York and I come here every year. Would definitely recommend staying here and I will certainly be booking again next year when we come back.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable with a reasonable walk to the city centre

Bathroom was cramped and tgd shower was more about paddling pool. Wxpensivdcfor what it offered.
