Powe House

Room was perfect, lots of attention to detail with thoughtful touches to make our stay fantastic. Andrew cooks a lovely breakfast too. Powe House is in a great location for Keswick Town Centre, and Derwentwater and a perfect base for exploring the area. This is my first trip to the Lake District and I had a really lovely time.

The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space. Breakfast was excellent. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast was unusually good for a b & b including the eggs Florentine that I enjoyed but the traditional English was on offer too. Fresh milk in the fridge on landing was a nice touch.

It rained most of the time I was there.

Great facilities and location. Perfect base for exploring. Clean and comfortable.

The Owners and staff were lovely and very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and happy to give you ideas or directions. Lovely rooms and tidy and well organised. Clean and fresh inside, lovely dining area and living room, where you can sit quietly, or read about the adventures you are about to embark on! The surrounding scenery was fantastic and boat rides and Keswick were in walking distance. Our room was downstairs and had a separate door leading into the garden, which was lovely.

It was a lovely stay from start to finish and enjoyed it ! The house was lovely! The only thing we felt let it down a little was the house outside perhaps would show it off better if it was refresh with paint, as it would stand out more? Also the furniture in the gardens, seemed old and rickety to sit on. However we did like the picnic table and benches that looked ‘very old’ but we felt did give character to the guest house garden, although didn’t look safe to sit on? Everything was available close by or if you wished to travel further, so we didn’t get much time to sit in the garden. Apparently there are wild Deer who visit from time to time( if your in when they come?!)

super ontbijt, vele keuzemogelijkheden. Zeer gastvrij, vriendelijk, behulpzaam. Goede ligging , rustig, mooi.
