St Benets Abbey B&B

Nothing was too much trouble for our host Jenni. Friendly & efficient is a winning combo. TBH while the bed was super comfy the bedroom was tired. The bathroom, while clean was not up to the mark. Needs upgrading.

Lovely place, unfortunately we only stayed one night, so didnt get much of a chance to look around, but liked what we saw. Very old building, full of character. Jenny was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was lovely and clean, and the tea/coffee bit was very well stocked including a couple of snacks. Loved it.

From the outside we were hopeful, as the garden and building looked pleasant. We werent expecting to be so close to a very busy road. The host was excellent. Unfortunately the room was dissapointing. Dated, especially the bath room which was tatty , pooly finished and poorly ventilated . It was quite stuffy but luckley we had our own fan. They ask for you're beakfast order when you arrive. When i was asked why we couldnt decide in the morning , its because they needed to defrost food. They were very accomodating about providing soya milk and a non dairy breakfast though. We have had some very lovely fresh breakfasts on our holday and avoided the cooked breaky as frozen food is not what i expect for what we paid. The host was so helpful and friendly though and the best thing about our stay.

This small B&B is a perfect place to spend a few nights. We received a very greeting on arrival and were shown to our room. We had Room 1 which has a super king sized four poster bed. The room was very well presented and very clean. The bathroom facilities were excellent with a full sized bath and a powerful shower. At breakfast the lady providing the service was cheerful, friendly and exceptionally efficient. The breakfast itself was freshly cooked, plentiful and delicious. The B&B has a very pretty and well maintained garden at the front with benches to sit on. I would thoroughly recommend this property.

We had a great stay for one night here. Beautiful historical building and lovely grounds. Very clean. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast. We would definitely recommend this place and we would stay here again.

Absolutely amazing stay my husband sure enjoyed his surprised birthday gift of four poster king size bed fit for the king that he is . Perfect location as it was 10 minutes away from the steam train event we wanted to attend at Bodmin general station . The abbey was super clean and very scenic with beautiful gardens and streams . Jenny went above and beyond the call of duty 5 star service and the breakfast was superb nothing was too much for her . We sure need to copy and paste her in so many establishments. We’ll sure be back . Thank you

Excellent room, very clean & equiped with towels, shower gel etc etc. Beds were excellent and good quality linen. Welcome was superb showing us around the place before taking us to the booked room.Certainly far better than most other B & B places....would highly recommed & would return again.

It was just what we were looking for. The huge bed was super comfy and the room was really homely and comfortable. The tv was tiny as the room was large, however we weren’t really that fussed as it was for one night. The host was exceptional

Fantastic B&B. Hosts so welcoming and would definitely stay here again and will be recommending this to friends and family. What a beautiful building which has been restored well and the fact that this building will be here for many years to come is fantastic!

Very charming old building with lovely gardens. The rooms are large and quaint, and the bed was enormous and very comfortable. The bathroom is a little dated but perfectly serviceable, although unfortunately there isn’t much insulation against the noise from the nearby road.
