Battlebridge is a pretty little place and this guesthouse is pleasant. The breakfast was lovely - freshly cooked, generous portions, and very tasty. The beds were fairly comfy and the colour scheme was nice.

The WiFi was terrible. I think we were the only people staying, but the two of us had to take it in turns otherwise we'd knock out the other person's connection. Our room was tired. I suspect it is used the least - there were cobwebs in the bathroom, the water bottle was dirty and the shower drain was blocked. The cups for tea were smaller than the other rooms and needed a clean. The welcome pack in the photos was not the same as what we actually got - no biscuits, for example. There were little jars of hot chocolate powder and marshmallows, but they had been there a while, the marshmallows were very dry. The beds were fairly comfy, but we didn't sleep well. The curtains were thin and did fully close (luckily we managed to hold them with a sturdy hair grip). The bathroom door didn't fully open because it hit one of the beds. The shower was weak - the water pressure was poor. The water from the taps was very metallic, so we bought water from a supermarket. I don't think it was good value for money.

Perfect location, quiet and relaxing

Nothing to dislike

Nice and quiet at night. Food is available during the day and the staff are very polite. The room had good heating and the shower was powerful.

There is parking but quite tight if there are 5 cars. The room and bathroom are pretty compact but ok for a nights stay.

Unclear about details when coming for breakfast as a guest rather than a cafe visitor. Raised a query about a future booking and requested call back or email. Not yet received

Excellent location, loads of great antique stores right on the doorstep, comfortable room with everything you need for a quiet getaway, breakfast was great. Would recommend

The breakfast was excellent and staff were very friendly.

The room was quite small and storage was minimal.
