True Lovers Knot

A great little pub for an overnight stop over. Easy and friendly check in. Four poster bed in a room with views to the countryside. Yes, it's by a busy road, but it was quiet overnight. Breakfast is a quick help yourself to a few pits & pieces at the bottom of the stairs to take to your room, which had a small table. The room was a good size, old, but set up with care and attention; a pretty throw on the bed, pretty side table with lamps, kettle with teas/coffee biscuits and mugs with spoons. Hairdryer in a pretty bag on the back of the door. All a lovely touch.

You can hear other guests' doors when they go in and out - pick up some breakfast. The bathroom is of an age, but it worked, so no complaints and you even get some toiletries. Nothing I didn't like.

The bed had no headboard making it impossible to watch the TV the bed moved on it's own the mattress was hard the room was brought down by dark wood furniture the menu at dinner was scant

The room was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The self-serve breakfast was well-stocked, even with a vegan option. The staff were fantastic, both with us and our dog. The restaurant and pub offered everything you could want from a local pub like the True Lovers Knot. The outdoor garden and parking completed the wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

The bathroom could use some improvement in terms of cleanliness.

Nice hotel easy parking did not have anything to eat after 8am breakfast was not the best to be honest

Breakfast! Some things left out. But nowhere to sit down. Pub was shut.

It was a completely different experience, but in a very good way. A country pub set in a beautiful location. The staff were outstanding, very welcoming. Sadly I arrived too late to sample the food on what looked like a well rounded menu. A quiet and comfortable room, in an old fashioned and rustic way.

I had no idea what to expect, but it suited my needs and certainly fitted my budget
