Went for family xmas catch-up 12 people, disappointed with quality of food steak was tuff as old boots chips were scratch ends and service was very slow. Prices were the usual rip off same as all the rest.Willnot be returning

I stay here for work. It good value,clean comfortable, warm and the shower if fab. They make excellent food too.

Its not a dont like but wifi would be helpful. Staying next to the staff rooms can be very noisy from 5am.

We arrived for our 6-30 table and were seated promptly Drinks and food order was taken and food arrived short after we had starters of garlic flatbread and houmous and halloumi Which were lovely Mains arrived 2 mixed grills and the Wild mushroom butter bean and pearl onion bourguignon this was beautiful One of my friends had egg shell in the egg on the mixed grill and both steaks were tough even though they were cooked rare This was a little gripe Food was lovely and service good we will return

Size & layout of the room, and the bed was very comfy.

Room 6 in need of some sort of 2nd glazing. The traffic sounded like it was coming through the window and room is on first floor 😂

We visited tonight as a family to celebrate a 30th birthday and while the food was absolutely incredible the service really let the experience down. We waited an hour before anyone came over to take our food order, when they did our server spoke so quietly that we struggled to hear her and when we politely asked for things to be repeated the staff seemed visibly frustrated. My 3 year olds plate was extremely hot, hot enough that it would have burnt him if he touched it, not safe for a child! Gravy was £6!!! Throughout the meal, the staff were inattentive and seemed irritated when we asked for simple things like sauces, spoons or even water. After the meals we also had to ask for our table to be cleared because no one came back for around 20 minutes. Dessert took around 30 minutes to arrive as well, adding to the long waits. We noticed staff were stood talking at the bar while we were waiting. No kids desserts were available so had to order ice cream off the adults menu and it came out wrong! I would have asked to speak to the manager then and there if we weren’t made to feel so uncomfortable. It’s such a shame because the food itself was amazing. If the service had matched the standard of the kitchen, this would have been a fantastic experience and a 5* restaurant..

This place never fails to impress. We visit every time we are staying at Pine Lake Resort. An easy walk along the canal or on the 555/755 bus route. Both food and drinks are delicious. Takeaway options available too. Staff very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming.
