"Thank you Liza!"

10.0

I had the pleasure of being checked in by Liza during my stay here. She was kind and welcoming and a whole vibe. This hotel is very close to the airport, and they do not charge for parking (although it is a journey from the parking area). If you wanna grab a beach chair and just chill on the beach, there are plenty to use. There is a Safeway nearby and other places to eat, if you wan a save some money. Also, only a 25 minute drive to other beaches.

"Enjoyed the grounds. Not so much the room."

6.0

We just came back from staying at the Marriott Beach Club. We rented from the timeshare owners. We got the rooms on the ground floor in the furthest tower from the beach next to the exit. The grounds and the koi pond are absolutely beautiful. The pool is huge and beautiful. The loungers by the beach are well used but there were plenty of them available in May 2026. Half the beach rowels they give are so old and dingy. So if you are getting 4 of them only 2 will in good condition. The pool did not appear heated. It was the same temperature as the ocean. The rooms were ok. I most dislike their sheets. They are made of polyester so were their pillows and blankets. The carpet was very dirty staining my feet. I had to wear my pink socks I was so disgusted. They got dirty after one evening of walking on carpet. I wish resorts used tile-like floors. At least it will get cleaned after each stay. Kitchenette had a large refrigerator dishwasher microwave and plates/cups utensils and other stuff. The Murphy bed in the kitchenette room was ok. I gave 3 stars because of the room condition. The grounds are sold 4. I will not stay there again. I usually stay at KoOlina Marriott Beach Club on Oahu and it is a sold 5 stars.

"Next time we will stay longer!!"

10.0

We had adjoining rooms for wife and myself as well as our son and his family. Rooms were newly renovated and extremely comfortable!

Nothing! Grounds looked as good as ever and restaurant food was awesome!

"Wonderful all around!"

10.0

Firstly, do your homework regarding the rooms. The 2 bedroom was large enough for our family of 5 with a beautiful ocean view. The service was amazing - couldn't tell the difference between Sonesta or Marriott staff because they all were so friendly and helpful. We loved sitting on the beach and swimming in calm waters (they could use more beach chairs). Excellent restaurants on site and within walking distance. We'll be back!

"For the price we got jipped. Smallest room ever."

6.0

The pool is beautiful. Our view was amazing. Our balcony was great and overlooked the ocean

Our room was so small. We had to move the couch to pull down the Murphy bed. And we couldn’t even use the couch the room Was so small. The bed was not comfortable either. And the water in the shower was cold. And was turned off form 11:00 pm till morning. Inconvenient.

"GREAT PLACE.. BOOKING hid important notes about the bed"

7.0

The beach and restaurants are very close just a short walk out of your room. The grounds and staff are exceptional.

READ THE ENTIRE ROOM DESCRIPTION!! Booking carefully hid the fact that the queen ocean suite has a FOLDING OUT MURPHY BED

"Marriott Kauai beach club"

2.0

Very disappointed with this Marriott property. Check-in is at 4 PM and check-out is at 10 AM — a 6-hour gap for room cleaning seems excessive, especially for a resort that doesn’t even have its own pool, bar, or restaurant. Most amenities are shared with the neighboring Royal Sonesta, which honestly feels like the far superior resort experience. What’s even more frustrating is that Marriott Bonvoy status appears to mean very little here. The focus seems entirely on timeshare owners rather than loyal Marriott guests. For a destination vacation property carrying the Marriott name, I expected a much higher level of service and recognition. Also they don’t provide beach chairs!!!

"Confusing Management, Inconsistent Service, and Discriminatory Treatment"

4.0

This is not truly a Marriott property. Marriott and Sonesta share the same location, but everything here is actually managed by Sonesta. Whenever we had any issues, Marriott staff would tell us that it is managed by Sonesta. On top of that, the information provided is inconsistent and confusing — Marriott and Sonesta staff often give completely different answers. The most unacceptable part, however, was the unfair treatment we experienced. While we were at the pool, my husband and I were not wearing wristbands at the time, and security approached us to question whether we were guests. I understand the need to verify access, but what is not acceptable is that other people without wristbands were not questioned at all — only us. We were clearly singled out, and it’s hard not to believe this was due to our different skin color. This was not an isolated incident; there were multiple smaller instances of unequal treatment throughout our stay, which I’m not going to list one by one. We stayed for 5 nights, but within just a few days we had already experienced enough to know we would not return. One more thing — I’m literally lying on the bed as I write this: the mattress is extremely uncomfortable and noticeably sagging in the middle.

"Quiet and peaceful"

8.0

It was more expensive than I expected but it's a good location. Unlike most resorts, they don't feel the need to inflict music on you you didn't ask for. I'm never at ease with someone else's playlist so I appreciated the quiet. Also, no activity director is shouting bingo numbers or water aerobic instructions through a PA. Another plus. The beach is kid friendly with small waves and no rip currents. The beach is likewise peaceful. No one trying to sell you anything. You can read in peace. One annoyance. Our room was advertised as having a "French patio." Go ahead and ask a hundred people what that means. I looked it up and one definition was "A patio in France." Anyone you ask to describe a patio will have a similar description of what a patio looks like. What it turns out to be was a 14" wide ledge of insult and false advertising. Would it be so hard to say "It doesn't have a patio?"
