Comfy bed, excellent quality breakfast.

The room, whilst endearingly idiosyncratic, was also a hodge-podge of confusing identities and carpentry. At breakfast, while the lady serving seemed perfectly affable and kind, she only ever responded to us proactively attracting her attention. She didn't check in on me when I arrived (my colleagues were already in situ, but I wanted some coffee and had to wait a while, with no direct acknowledgement of me or greeting) nor did she ensure we were happy at any stage, though she seemed generally very nice. Standards like this matter more than ever, and it would be good if she was more aware going forward. Jackie was lovely, though, and I think we'd come back if we were in the area, but with the expectation that changes had been made and service had kicked on. We talked about it and all agreed it was at a good rather than excellent standard.
