Le Plaza Hotel

My overall experience at Le Plaza Hotel was pleasant. Staff was courteous and professional. My server Jerry or Jeffrey was outstanding. The courtyard at le Plaza was all to brag about. The choice of having dinner, breakfast brunch or drink in the courtyard by the pool, the gazebo, or the open terrace was priceless, particularly for those from a cold climate.

Grat location. When you book all the information is not on reservation.

We stayed here twice in the course of ten days in Haiti. The location is excellent, and the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms are good and the pool and environs a delight. We were unlucky in that the main restaurant was closed and the bar food moderate - don't go near their hamburger! Some ares a bit tired but overall excellent. It is an oasis to come back to after the chaos of the city.

Friendly staff and safe place. Quiet, and comfortable bed and the restaurant is excellent. I always stay at least a night every time I visit Haiti!. Vladimir at check in/ out is excellent as usual.

Formerly the smartest place in town, the hotel now displays the signs of years of underinvestment. Rooms, whilst spacious, have a worn look and smell about them: fixtures and tiles cracked or broken, air conditioner very noisy, new paint needed all round. The rooms have a musty, damp air about them. The public areas, likewise, show their age. All this is a pity as it has a prime location and must have been glamorous in its heyday. Service tries to impress but loses sight of the details. My wake-up call never arrived; reception couldn't tell me if they had booked a taxi; the restaurant was 10 minutes late opening for breakfast - important if you have a plane to catch. Le Plaza now has stiff competition from international chains in Petionville: the above suggests it is not going to compete unless it improves its act.

Le Plaza Hotel was a fair experience. The hotel is located in the heart of Port-au-Prince, so there’s not much around other due to be king surrounded by the local culture. Next time, I would stay in Pentionville where you can walk around and find clubs, restaurants, etc.

My last trip here in December was my third time staying at Le plaza, the hotel is comparably cheaper than others in port-au-prince, yet at a similar standard. I love the feel of the gardens and pool area, you almost forget that you are at the heart of a busy and dusty city. The complimentary breakfast buffet is enjoyable, I would recommend the omelettes. I usually pay the $20-30 extra for a room with a balcony/patio to sit out on at night. The only complaint I have is that the food in the restaurant is expensive, same prices as some 5 star hotels, but it has always been enjoyable. I would recommend Le Plaza and will definitely book here again soon!

About two weeks ago, I traveled to Haiti and spent 8 days at Le Plaza. It's hard to make an informed decision based on what you see, in fear that it's not what was describe or expect. Well i have to say it was not the case with Le Plaza, the grounds were beautifully kept, the staff were very friendly. Although, Le Plaza is located in the middle of downtown Haiti, the hotel was very quiet and secluded from the mainstream noise. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it. The rooms are clean and food there is delicious. Thank you Le Plaza staff for making my stay even more memorable!!!

Wonderful, friendly staff! Beautiful, well maintained gardens and lovely pool!

I was placed in a second story room at the back of the hotel with no patio. I didn't like it. I have stayed before in a room with a patio overlooking the pool area. I liked that.
