Carriage Way Inn

Carriage Way Inn is fantastic. Old world charm and perfectly located in the Historic areas of St. Augustine. You can walk to everything. They have a decent car park out the side. Rooms are small but quaint and en-suite also fine. Comfortable bed. Lots of nice extras, like wine/soda/tea/coffee on the veranda (one upstairs as well). Nice box of items “in case you forgot”. Cookies in the afternoon. Really nice staff and highly recommended.

Not our best lodging experience. However, there are pros: great location (close to everything, but street is quiet), good breakfast, free parking, nice staff, nice linens (see caveat below), tasty homemade cookies. Sadly, the cons outweigh the pros. We stayed in the Gold Room so this review is only reflective of this room. Small, very dark (only lights are in the bathroom and bedside tables (the "overhead" lights did not work). The Hvac system is tied to other rooms so it was challenging to control the temperature. Basically there are 3 rooms on one system so if one room isn't on heat or AC the temperature controls do not work. Seriously, annoying. Lumpy, uncomfortable bed. The outside patio was unkempt. Uncomfortable chairs in the room. We stayed for 3 nights. Had to ask for towels and bed service everyday because they didn't change towels or make the bed without a request. For $450 per night, ridiculous. We have traveled extensively. This was not good value or a good experience. Avoid this room.

Terrific Bed and Breakfast in old St. Augustine. The best thing about it is the location. It is in the old town, steps from the main street with shops and all the attractions but far enough that it's peaceful and quiet. Because of the proximity to everything you can stop by the room to pick up a jacket or rest a few hours and continue with your plans. Room style is traditional keeping with the historical charm. The bed and sheets were comfortable and towels plush. Relatively quiet and couldn't hear other people in their rooms. Aquamarine room was lovely, private and roomy enough, albeit all the rooms are on the small side. Bathroom was small but sufficient and glass enclosed shower was nice. Breakfast was good and basic for a small B&B, they make a couple of items like eggs and bacon, quiche, veg fritata (no menu just what's made that day). Staff was nice but do expect to be self sufficient as you rarely see staff around. I know there is a parking lot on premise but we didn't use it and I highly recommend not bringing a car if possible if you just plan on spending a couple of days in the old town cause you don't need it. I'm very glad we stayed here instead of a large chain cause it was lovely, perfect location and fit nicely with the old town charm. The outdoor balcony was a lovely place to sit as well and have a complimentary beverage and homemade cookie. I'd go back!

Good parking. Short walk to St. George St. Clean with easy checkin and checkout. Would definitely stay again.

Best stay in St. Augustine!

I am extremely happy I stayed here! The location is awesome everyone that works there were above and beyond helpful… especially Melanie! It was clean and just perfect. I will be coming back! The breakfast was delicious! And Mojo Bbq 1 block away❤️

Enjoyable stay. Had to leave before we could have breakfast but going back so we take advantage of that.

By far the nicest B&B in St. Augustine

The staff was so welcoming and pleasant. Breakfast was very good!! Area was very noisy!! I know that wasn’t their fault but too many motorcycles!!

Beautiful Inn with wonderful staff! Rooms are extremely well appointed and include exceptionally comfortable beds, luxury bedding, robes, and toiletries. Guests can enjoy complimentary wine and cookies available in the lobby area and each room has sherry to enjoy. Make sure to pick up a lavendar sachet before bedtime! Breakfast each day was delicious (let staff know upon arrival of any food preference/allergies and they will go out of their way to accommodate you). Staff is warm, welcoming, and friendly. As an added bonus parking is free and included and once you arrive you're within walking distance to everything! We had a wonderful stay at Carriage Way & Carriage Way Centennial!!
