A very good stay. Management helps to fulfill accommodation requests. English easily available. A very good, vibrant area. Upscale neighborhood and businesses. Several English speaking television stations. A large physical fitness center and large pool. A 4 and 1/2 star hotel. This was my second stay for a week. Oa

Nor sure whether they had bedbugs or mosquitos but I was almost eaten alive.

Stayed in other hotels in Shanghai closer to the Bund which I think is a better location for sightseeing, bars and restaurants. This area ok for shopping but no real bargains to be had.

Overall, the hotel is showing its age and could use an update. The condition of the room is a little shoddy; for example the carpet was very worn, the kitchen counter was damaged, the bed runner was snagged, the TV remote didn’t work well, and the bath towels were in poor condition. Our room rate was supposed to include breakfast and I had to argue with the check in clerk and it took 3 times of me telling him this before he looked it up and confirmed that it was included. I'm very glad that I did because, I would have been upset if I had to pay for breakfast separately. The breakfast quality and selection were poor. I have stayed at Oakwood many times over the past 5 years and it has definitely gone downhill. I would not stay here again.

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment with a family of four. The apartment was very nice and comfortable. It is remote from shopping and attractions so taxi and bus are the only transportation options. There are shops and restaurants in the lower level. The washer/dryer is an all-in-one and takes a long time. But it was very nice having laundry available in the room. The room had free wifi and free on demand movies. I would definitely stay there on business again. But for a family, would consider other options closer to shopping or attractions.

Overall, a great choice for a business hotel and I will be coming again for sure. Unfortunately, i cant use Hotels.com to book anymore since they dont provide an official China receipt.

The room is dirty: desk is dusty, the holders of hotel information are falling apart, kitchen/refrigirator is dirty .. Bad lighting control. Old/dirty coach.. unfriendly hotel check-in staff ..

I was not sure if my decision to book a serviced apartment than a hotel was right but my stay at Oakwood was no less than a 5* stay ... If fact it was even better.. Starbucks was below the building, Burger King was on the same building, Family Mart was there for everything and anything that I need. KFC was just a stone throw away. This is notwithstanding there were other Chinese restaurants in the same buildings. Apartments were clean with all the right amenities in place. All in all Oakwood made our stay at Hangzhou memorable... Oh BTW The BAR at 3F 👌👍🏻
