Candlewood Suites Springfield North, an IHG Hotel

Clean, newly renovated rooms and common areas. Loved the kitchen with pots, pans, plates and silverware included. Best part is a window that opens and an in-wall a/c-heating unit. No better way to stay safe with COViD-19.

I was very pleased with my room and stay. Staff was very pleasant as well.

The room was clean for the most part but we did find a dead bug in front of the shower on the floor while checking out the room. And the refrigerator was not working properly. We had to keep things cold in the freezer as it was just cold and not really freezing. And it would have been nice to have streaming apps available for use on the smart tv's. We missed our hulu and netflix. that was a big bummer. A lot of other hotels offer that option. Other then that the stay was great and will definitely stay again.

This is a great place. It has been newly renovated. Our room was very clean. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely stay here again

The hotel is under construction which is not mentioned in the booking or when i called to ask about rooms. We picked this hotel due to the pictures on line to fit what our family needed on this trip - a separate bedroom, a living space and a dining room table space. Apparently the pictures online are of the old set up and not the new. The new set up has a separate bedroom but there is no room to move around. there was not enough room for a pack-n-play so our child had to sleep outside the room. The living space had enough room but the furniture was extremely uncomfortable. no padding in the chair and was all very stiff. The dinning area no longer is a table set up with 4 chairs it is now a narrow bar height table with only 2 chairs. our child who is young can't sit on a bar height chair- its too tall. The bedroom was so hot until the last night when we got a fan from the front desk. She suggested we put it next to the intake fan. When we got back to the room we found it- behind the TV so the air was never getting to the room. Not Smart. The kitchen was nice and so was the bathroom but not enough to make the trip worth it. the hotel is being worked on so there is dust everywhere and construction going on. There was men cutting tile in the hallway to leave - nothing was safe for a child. should have stayed next door at the Residence Inn where they have a pool. more $ but can't be worse then this stay was. I feel bad for the employees- they were very nice.

Very nice hotel. Kitchenette nicely laid out. Contractors were remodeling the hotel and should be even better when completed. No signage up yet telling visitors they were at right hotel.

After reading the other reviews I was looking forward to my stay here. I must have stayed on an off night. The elevator was covered in moving blankets, I’m not sure why. There was a pervasive odor on the entire second floor. Perhaps from the trash cans in front of the elevator. The room was clean but the mattress was very lumpy. It is nice to have a kitchen and the staff was very friendly.

After a not so good stay at another hotel, I decided to try this one. I am always looking to stay at suites so I can do my own meals and stay healthy. Kenny met me at the front desk. Super friendly! Have my reservation and keys already made. Offered me a snack and water. Got to my room. It was nice and clean and just what I needed. Kenny even called my room to check on me and make sure everything was ok. The bed was comfortable and lots of pillows. There was plenty of dishes and things to cook with. But they only give you two plates, two forks, two spoons, so you may need to wash something between prepping and actually eating. They also have a lending center that has crock pots and blenders and griddles, waffle iron and pretty much any small appliance you can think of..love that idea. I had a great stay and will make this my place of choice while in springfield. Which is quite often.
