Hotel Maria Isabel

Food is ok staff is wonderful, view is great! just think its time that they either get a larger cage for that parrot or let it go (probably too late) makes me uncomfortable. The food is OK not memorable. But what comes to mind is the cage.

Positive: Location Friendly staff Very nice swimming pools Comfortable rooms Fair room rate Not so good: No coffee makers in the rooms! No respect to swimming pools rules; kids swimming in underwear and teenagers playing in the kids area. Noisy people at midnight. As a summary, a lot to improve with the security staff. Requires better maintenance.

Ploite,courteous and bilingual staff. Lots of security, they were all very helpful and felt very safe. Housekeeper staff kept room clean, organized and full of amenities. Service at the pool and restaurant excellent.

The only thing is that the staff rhat work outside putting the cars in have to be more nicer

I stayed here in July 2019 during the low season. I stayed in the middle section-it's a new section since I have last stayed there. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom has a tub/shower-perfect! There is a large sink area next to the bathroom for getting ready. I had a room with 2 Queen size beds. The beds are comfortable. There is AC and a TV in the room. This was a quiet area..ask for room 714. It is away from the pool noise. They have computers and free wifi for guests to use in the lobby. Wifi on the entire grounds. The pool area is large and if you order a drink while at the pool they will bring it to you. Pool closes at 9 pm. They have a fitness/gym area and offer on site massages by appt. The restaurant has since moved to a new location on the grounds. I must say I miss the "palapas" outside dining. Now it looks more cafeteria style. Saying this I do not want to take away from the delicious food and service I received while dining there. Everyone on staff was very attentive. Shout out to my favorite server Ignacio (afternoon/evening shift). My stay at Hotel Maria Isabel was great! During my 8 day vacation I stayed at 4 hotels and this one was one of my absolute favorites!! The other hotel had a beautiful beach front-can you blame me? I will always stay and recommend Hotel Maria Isabel with confidence to anyone contemplating staying in Colima. The hotel is close to everything; stores, restaurants, downtown, etc. and it is a perfect spot to catch a taxi. Great service from beginning to end. Beautiful pool, good restaurant, reasonable laundry service. Private security on-site with very controlled in and out vehicle traffic. They won't even let pizza be delivered to your room for security. Affordable massage onsite as well. Great location near shopping, laundromat (1/2 mile away), atms and Starbucks.

We enjoy the kids pool area as a family you always look for what is going to entertain the kids. I do want to mention I’ll never go back to Maria Isabel Hotel I had my father visit me. And they didn’t let him in he was just coming to say good bye. We rent the grand master suit for 5 days and I was expecting better customer service also on my last day they cut the water we were not able to take shower we had to go to another hotel. Horrible

This place is a popular spot for families travelling to Colima. It is a small town with few touristic destinations compared to the better recognized city of Manzanillo. The hotel offers a great pool to cool off during the hot weather season (most of the year) and the food deviates very little from what you will find in any other local restaurant. Beds are comfortable and the fact the rooms have AC at a reasonable price (half of the price for a room in the nearby 3-star hotel) makes this location a must when in the area

Fair price for a fair service.
