Hotel Kappa

We will NOT stay at this hotel again. Expensive for what it provides. The food for breakfast was poor, the juice machine dispensed only colored water - no juice. The room's poor laminate flooring installation had ants entered into the room. The bathroom was ABSOLUTELY the worst. None in our family (and we're not big people!) could sit at the toilet because it was only centimetres from the shower wall - we had to do our business sitting on the toilet at a 45-degree+ angle. The shower is SO small that every time you turn around, you hit the handle and either turn off the water or scald/freeze yourself depending how you hit the handle. Only 2 hangers in closet for a 3-person room! The hotel has NO WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY. No elevators, you need to carry your luggage - they don't offer to help. Red carpet at the front entrance is frayed and loose - I tripped and twisted my ankle. A local recommended this hotel because it is far away from the 'dangerous' hotel area next to the train station. It's a fairly long bus ride to Venice. There are two buses with the same number (3?) to the hotel from Venice: Carpenedo goes to the hotel, the other stops half way and then you have to wait for the Carpendo to get you to the hotel stop. The hotel is located in the middle of NOWHERE, especially for restaurants. One attached to the hotel is very expensive seafood, the other pizza joint down the road is lousy food. Excellent! ice cream shop a block away where the lady makes her own ice cream.

Bus stop to Venice very close to the hotel. Room was clean, but loud (close to the vending machine).

Hotel was convenient for getting the bus into Venice. We parked on the street which was a bit nerve racking but worked out ok. The guy on reception when we checked in was quite abrupt but the rest were helpful. We stayed for 2 nights and we had towels changed and a clean which was good. Room overall was a bit tight for 4 of us. It did the job but overall was rather basic. Breakfast choice was good and they kept it well stocked. Coffee not so good.

Located near a direct bus stop to Venice. Hotel is basic, and without an elevator (had to take all luggage to third floor by myself).

The room was a nice size. Shower was very small. Easy access into Venice. The girl at reception was very helpful

staff was knowledgeable especially in the transit system to venice. there no elevators and all the rooms are on the second and third floors.

Fantastic hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.very well located across from bus stop to venice.would highly recommend.

We stayed here for 2 nights. We had the entire 3 floor to ourselves. We are 2 parents and three children, so this worked for us. The place is average. It does have free breakfast. This is nice. We took the bus to Venice. The bus stop is about 30 min to venice. 1.50 is the cost one way. I wish I had picked a hotel closer to venice. The hotel served its purpose for the time we were there.

Great place for inexpensive visit to Venice and the islands.

better than expected. 10 minutes drive from main Venice. easy transportation. Good breakfast , great rate - All worked out Well ... 1st choice to stay here when back to Venice ....
