Hôtel Armenonville

Silikonfungen im Bad verschimmelt, toilettenpapierhalterung und Handtuchhalter defekt, kein Papierkorb im Bad, Zimmer teilweisemangelhaft gereinigt (hinter dem nachttischwürfel fanden sich Papierschnipsel vom Vormieter. Frühstück ohne Käse, kein Ei und keine Wurst ... geht für den Preis nicht. Terrasse und Garten super, allerdings auch das ungepflegt: defekte liegen, schmutzige Sitzauflagen, nicht funktionierende Aussendusche. Hier könnte mit etwas mehr Umsicht mehr geboten werden. Schade, da der Standort und die Lage gut sind. Matratze ist durchaus auch schon in die Jahre gekommen und ein Austausch nötig. Wir haben Zimmer 11 bewohnt und kommen sicher nicht wieder. Abschließend muss man sagen, dass trotz allem das Personal sehr nett war.

We were followed back to the hotel on our first night by 2 men, propositioned and saw a lot of prostitutes in the street. We reported this and were told it’s never happened (or that there are prostitutes) before which I don’t believe. The hotel has nothing- no mini fridge in the room, the vending machine was totally empty and the so called coffee house was nowhere to be found. The first room we had we moved out of- water was running brown out of the taps!! It says 3 star but it is more like a run down 2 star at best. Pool was dirty and rooms looked like they needed a good refurb and actually completed. Our room looked like it had been done up recently- but not finished. Staff were friendly and helpful but that doesn’t make up for lack of any amenities. It is literally a room and from what we saw of breakfast (we chose not to pay 12€ pp for it) it was well worth the 2 minute walk around the corner to a patisserie to pay half that for 2 of us to eat well and have lovely coffee.

Good location from the station although I did walk passed the hotel initially as the sign advertised the hotels parking not reception. Head towards the car park but keep following the round round and you will come to the main gate which leads to reception. Great and quick check in, receptionist local knowledge was excellent and gave good directions to the main areas to eat. Only 10 mins to promenade and around 20mins to main square. I was upgraded on check in to a deluxe double. Room decor was vintage but in good condition, very clean. I was in room 4 next to where they serve breakfast so it can get noisy early without people chatting in the breakfast room. If you want a lie in stay upstairs. I would fully recommend and stay again

This was my 6th visit to Hotel Armenonville. Beautiful, Nicoise villa, in a great location. My 3rd visit this year and I will most definitely be booking again for next year too! Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Great bakeries near by and very convenient for the train station to Monaco and Cannes.

It was a great stay. Pool a little smaller than I thought but totally adequate. We stayed in the Garden Room which was lovely and fitted a put up bed for my daughter easily. It is not far from the coast and some nice restaurants. Only down side was apart from breakfast there is no cafe or bar. Although they don't seem to mind you bringing in your own from the shops.

A former chateaux in attractive gardens but sadly let down by poor rooms and inexperienced management. The hotel is in the somewhat poor end of Nice and it's a good 20 min walk to fashionable old town and 30 min to harbour.We booked a twin room but we're given a double on arrival as father and son this was not acceptable we asked to be moved they said no it was full but after bad review we were upgraded to a premium room! With double bed and single however this was grubby with poor bathroom and toilet that did not flush we reported this but nothing was done. On checkout they tried to charge us extra for what we had already booked a twin and for parking which is advertised as free i refused and just paid the tax and one breakfast at 12 euro per person which is very basic and not worth the money you can get better in town for less. The prices in Nice are high but this hotel does not live up to the standard one should expect in this sophisticated resort.

The rooms were comfortable Air con was handy Some rooms had fridges but not all. Reception put my drinks in their fridge. They were all helpful with providing local knowledge on food, shops etc Nice poolside breakfast area and lounging Location short walk from beach in friendly area Although surrounded by residential blocks which do not look as well kept as the hotel Overall, I enjoyed my time here

Walkable to the start of the main touristy area

Decent budget accommodation walking distance to the promenade--overall happy with the stay!

Hotel was difficult to find as it is located behind large apartments with confusing 'parking' sign. But a nice place to stay in a good neighborhood.
