Château de Gilly

Fantastic hotel! Rooms were huge and the bed incredibly comfortable. Whole hotel was clean and in good decor. The bathrooms were a little in need of renovation, but when you learn the history of the fabulous building you will look beyond the bath! The dogs were given their own dog bed, dog bowl and Alos food supplied. Moving onto the bar and restaurant...wow! Book in advance and go for the Michelin recommended tasting menu. Stunning! Would definitely stay again and recommend.

The service was poor and on more than one occasion simply rude. The room was poor and tried. The bathroom had much of the enamel missing / peeling from the bathtub with poor repairs being made. An unpleasant experience this is not a four star establishment and without wanting to be melodramatic brings real shame to the region. Selling the hotel as luxury accommodation is simply dishonest.

Stop off on way home. Very disappointed with the overall hotel. Photos don’t represent the hotel.

It's a castle, not much to say except, WOW!....Everyone feels like royalty, I know I did.

Great hotel, wonderful stay. Our only issue was the service in the restaurant which we considered somewhat subpar / below expectation.

Characterful chateau with beautiful grounds with a huge collection of sculptures for sale. Surrounded by beautiful village and very old buildings. Fabulous walk at dusk. On a river. It’s quiet here but beautiful and romantic. Great choice of burgundy domaines nearby. Chateau de Vogeot worth a visit. Grapes here are grand cru and prized. 81 owners of vines within a 100 or so walled plot.

It's a beautiful hotel where I have stayed a few times in the past ten years. However, the hotel is showing its age. The building needs renovation and I will not return if the room has no air conditioner.

This is a gorgeous Chateau near in the middle of the Cote d'Or and not far from Dijon or Beaune. Beautiful gardens to walk around, very good restaurant.

Lovely historic chateau. Very large room and bath. Like an Inn or B&B, the decor isn’t the latest, but that is part of the charm

Ambivalent staff, very tired and drab looking interior. Completely over priced drinks and food....I read another review about cost of food etc here and decided to eat in the Brasserie in Geverey Chambertin..... by contrast, wonderful food and well priced. This is not Relais Chateaux product or London night club, but prices the same. Pretty building. I would only stay if you have other food options and need a bed. It’s a shame, this place would benefit hugely from an upgrade and better staff. We carried the luggage to the car in the rain.... the staff did not seem to be bothered.
