Hôtel Moderne

This is such a shame, this Hotel is so lovely and so well restored, its just that the finite touches are lacking i.e. bathroom appliances like shower hose too short that you had to bend down to have a proper shower and the electrical wire of the hairdryer too short that you couldn't dry your hair in the bathroom mirror!!! Our room was warm and comfortable but with no ventilation or air conditioning other than opening the balcony door which had a secondary double glazed door to the outside. Opening these doors for fresh air resulted in the noise coming in from outside. having the door open throughout the night for fresh air made our night sleep terrible due to the very noisy Train Station adjacent to the Hotel. On the positive side, the rooms were very clean and quite comfortable and the hotel receptionist was extremely nice and very helpful.

Pleasant one night stay. Very good staff and the room itself was large and freshly renovated.

Very central right across from train station and close to car rental.Room spacious clean and functional. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast. Very good value.

Stayed for two nights in September. The the hotel is conveniently located by the train station and within close proximity to multiple shops and restaurants and Grand Place (town square). Rooms were small of course but it's hotel in Europe so you have to expect that. Also rooms are not very sound proof. Again I think it can be expected but it is something to be aware of. I normally sleep with earplugs anyway. Staff was friendly and they even had a lift so there was no need to haul giant suitcases up 5 flights of stairs! Lol I would recommend staying here.

Very pleasant hotel, clean room, good beds, friendly staff. Could have used a fan in the room as it was a very warm day during my stay and tough to cool my room down; only issue I had. Everything else was good; very good buffet breakfast in the morning at reasonable cost. Great location; close to town centre and just across from the train station.

A great place, plenty of free parking in the evening and great for exploring the WW1 places. Good local restaurants too.

Big, modern rooms. Excellent staff, very helpful and accommodating. Close to the train station and only a few minutes from the town centre
