Bellerive Hotel

First impressions mean everything. The receptionist was warm, friendly and very helpful. We were traveling on bicycles and were shown a secure garage to park them. We were given vouchers for free bus and MRT services throughout the city. The room was immaculate, spacious, with a comfortable bed. The room also included a very large bathroom. Breakfast the following morning was delicious and again the receptionist was wonderful. We would definitely stay again.

Very basic hotel. Very much a place to drop your bags and sleep. The room is clean, but not comfortable.

Very nice little boutique hotel in a quiet area of town, but easily accessible. Spacious room with a luxurious bathroom and fantastic view. Very easy access to everywhere in Lausanne via bus or bus/tramway. Loved that they provide you with a public transit pass. The girl at the reception desk was extremely helpful in explaining where to go and what to see.

This is a decent place to stay because it is located within walking distance of the big parks and the water. Limited parking available. Not very helpful front desk. Good bus service to the metro and other locations. Main drawback is that there is no air conditioning, so if you're there in the summer months as we were, you will need the fans provided in each room.

Nice hotel with good facilities. Can’t comment on breakfast as wasn’t included in my stay nor the sauna / gym as didn’t have time to use them. Room was well equipped and comfortable and WiFi was great.

Between July and August 2018 I stayed here 4 times for a total of 16 nights, always in the serviced studio apartments. If you’re considering the hotel itself, this review does not apply. If you need a place for a small family with a kitchen and minimum fuss, this might be your place. The rooms are no-fuss but come with free Wi-Fi, a wall-mounted TV, an armoire and a typical studio apartment kitchen. Since we’re not talking about a hotel experience, evaluation criteria are different. The Wi-Fi is good, the place is very clean all around, and the appliances always work perfectly. The entrance is not through the hotel, so if you’re looking for the experience of being a local (with an apartment in the city) this place will make you very happy. Every stay here for me was great. The staff are always nice and getting around the city is easy by foot or bus. There is a Coop supermarket steps from the entrance, so stocking up is easy. The location is not close to the older, more charming parts but it is close to Ouchy, the trendy shoreline section. And getting to the rest of the city is easy by bus. All in all a great choice for those looking to really experience Lausanne as a local. Ask for the lake-facing room, it’s totally worth the extra cost.
