Hotel Falken

Location is excellent, staff was magnificent but as far as rating the room and it’s conditions it was very disappointing. Beds were very uncomfortable as if they were not laid flat (very weird) if I laid down I would roll towards one side. The shower is very small and it was clogged; really cheap shower curtains. The shower seemed very old and had dark stains like it was not cleaned.

Very pleasant stay at the Hotel Falken. Staff was very helpful and nice. Everything we needed to do was within walking range of this hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, but everything else was a total let-down. Receptionist was not available when we arrived and other staff members in the reception area did little to nothing to help - we waited fifteen minutes for someone to arrive. Furnishings and decor are worn. Room was clean but we were given a room with a bunk-bed and the beds were very uncomfortable and awkward to get in and out of. Breakfast is not available in the hotel - you can get a voucher for the cafe across the street, but this info was not volunteered, it was left to you to notice the sign. The room was also far too warm, and the desktop fan provided did nothing to alleviate it. Worst of all were the electrical fittings. Plug points had old extension adapters, the television socket was coming loose from the wall, and in the main stairwell of the hotel an extension cable was strung up between the floors in full view. Made me very uncomfortable, as I'm sure that's a fire safety hazard. All in all an unpleasant stay and very expensive for what it was - we were glad to leave this place behind.

If you want location... this is it! Very helpful staff and eager to please you. Very extremely small room and bathroom. Hallways were cluttered and seemed dark. No AC. but they provided a fan.

We stayed at the first floor right beside the restaurant. It smells a bit. They tried to use a portable AC to reduce the smell which was supposed to be useful, however, it wasn't connected properly so we had to connect it ourselves which finally reduced the smell of food. One good thing about the hotel is its location, which is right beside the old town and close to the river/lake.

Hotel staff was amazinly helpful and accommodating.

I recently visited Lucern with my husband and two children and stayed at the Hotel Falken for a one night. Although I'm not to much into putting reviews hope this one helps. The hotel has a very good location, it is convenient and accessible to most main attractions within walking distance (no more than 10 minutes to farthest site). This eliminates the fact of you having to purchase tickets for public transportation. Near the hotel you have plenty of restaurants, bars and market. The room itself was very small (especially for more than 2 people), as well as the bathroom and it had no AC. Since there was only one fan in the room we had to open the window to get some additional air. Thank GOD we don't mind the outside noises.Overall the room was clean and the amenities were OK. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I definitely would recommend this hotel especially due to it's convenient location, but if having a big space is relevant for you then this is not the place to stay.

Good location, Hotel is a firetrap....boxes and papers piled everywhere in hallways and on steps. Overrated hotel

The only surprise is that the receptionist opened my room when I was inside the room at 10pm on the first night .

Awesome place! If you walk in and it smells like cheese it's because they have a fondue restaurant too! You get a 15% coupon with your stay! Best fondue I've had in my life! Lovely hotel!
