Hotel Falken

very cramped room.. not at all suitable for spacious

Great hotel for the money. Shower was super small. Great staff and clean room. Perfect area to stay. Close to train station and all of the sites.

Staff is not available all the time,but it was okay because I have no questions to ask.

The hotel was great for location and overall comfort. The problem was the close proximity to a number of cathedrals which rang their bells faithfully on the half hour all night long. This was amplified by the need to keep the window open - no AC.

I don't understand the poor reviews given to hotel Falken. Other than the great location that can't be stressed enough, the staffs are extremely helpful and friendly . We also had no problem with the size of the room, probably because we have been given a corner room. Only thing that can be improved is offering ala carte menu for the restaurant as we were exteremly hungry when we arrived so we wanted to have lunch at the hotel however we were informed that the restaurant only serves groups .

Despite intimating in advance that we would be doing a late check-in, a note was left for us during check-in stating that our card had already been charged. We would have appreciated if this has been informed to us prior to them taking this decision as the hotel policy clearly indicated that the hotel would charge us in the local currency and that too during check-out. The location of the hotel is spot on. There was nobody at the front desk the following morning too during check out. I understand it being a sunday but I am sure that hotels are quite busy during weekends. Elevator was from the first floor only so this meant hauling your luggage up 1 steep flight of stairs.

Close to train station and shopping area. There are supermarket nearby. Walkable distance to Lion monument and Chapel Bridge

The major plus for this hotel is the location. It is in the heart of Lucerne and only a five minute walk from the station. Otherwise the hotel is quite ordinary. Hotel staff were average- no one on desk when we arrived or left. Room was small and basic.

Very friendly staff. Close to airport with shuttle. Fairly easy to get into town.
