The location was a far walk for restaurants and activities and the traffic was unbearable. The room was comfortable but hot since it was towards the attic area.

I was overcharged in comparison to other nicer locations. Very bad experience.

"Very quiet"

8.0

We stayed in one of the family rooms in an outbuilding in the back yard. There is one double bed plus two twin beds, a small bathroom and a kitchenette with breakfast table at the foot of one of the beds. It was basic, nothing fancy, but everything worked well and the room was extremely quiet. We slept well there, which is the main thing. Not obvious where to go at check in - the sign is between two houses, both of which seem to belong to the B&B, but both front doors were locked and no one answered either buzzer at 2pm. We eventually found staff at the house on the right.

"Ok"

Good location approx 1mile walk from b&b. Very accomodating owners. The photos shown when booking show the best parts of the room. Matress, linen, towels and pillows very dated and in need of replacement. Room and bathroom decor needs touched up/renewed. Sitting area available downstairs with microwave and dining table available. Approx €10 in a taxi to town centre. Quiet location with good road links.

WE attended a wedding so AH was very handy to attend both church and reception. The room was very quiet, clean and good value. Staff very pleasant and courteous. I didn't have breakfast. Didn't like the pillows.

"Absolutely wonderful!"

10.0

I studied abroad in Galway in 2010 and brought my mom to Galway to see where I had lived. The Amber Hill Guesthouse was near my old living quarters, which was the primary reason I chose to stay there. This B&B was fantastic. We arrived extremely early on the day of our reservation. Not only did the staff/owner let us drop off our bags for safekeeping, he also got our room ready for us very early because he could tell how exhausted we were. After a few hours sleep in the very warm, cozy, and welcoming room, we were ready to go into town and see the sights. The next morning, the conversation with the staff over breakfast was wonderful. We absolutely loved our stay and have decided that when we return to Ireland, we will be staying at the Amber Hill Guesthouse.

"Nice B&B. Great value."

8.0

The B&B was very nice. The rooms could use some attention though. The toilet seat in my room was loose and there appeared to be black mold in my friends bathroom. Also, the community room was not open during the posted hours. Opened late, closed early. The staff was exceptionally nice. I would stay here again. You could not beat it for the price. The breakfast was excellent.

Overall a great little b&b close to centre of town. Few little issues with noise but nothing you could control.
