Grand Meteora Hotel

Room was great. Shower was a bit odd as it had a soaking type tub and a shower. No Curtains! Had to be careful or water goes all over bathroom. Front desk staff was not very pleasant. And I interacted with 4 of them, none were pleasant. One word answers and not helpful at all. Hotel otherwise is perfect. Great location- close to meteora and to kalabaka for food.

Modern hotel. Very comfortable rooms. Everything looked new and clean. Staff were very helpful. Great balcony view of Meteora. You have to drive into town for restaurants and “nightlife” but I preferred it over staying in an older place closer to centre of town.

It is amazing to stay in this hotel. It is located on the outskirt of Kalambaka city and is near Meteora, a popular attraction. The hotel is lovely because you can have an unblocked view of Meteora and it just takes about 10 minutes to drive to the nearest monastery. Every room seems to have a balcony where you can enjoy fresh air and the lovely view of Meteora. The breakfast is of good quality and has a reasonable variety of foods. Though many guests chose to dine inside the restaurant I chose to dine at the outdoor table where you can enjoy the Meteora view and the lovely climate. However, neither the WIFI nor the 4G signal was not strong enough to sustain a smooth browsing during my stay. That was a downside I could find. Before you book this hotel, plan your traffic to there as it seems there is out of reach of public transport. Moreover, I recommend you use Google map to navigate as the road to the hotel is unnamed in my own navigator.

Excellent hotel with very good service and helpful staff. As a family of 6, we had two double rooms looking out at the rocks of Meteoria. Large parking lot made parking very convenient. Easy access to the town and all the sites. Breakfast buffet was good. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We used their laundry service. Turned clothes in around 6:30 PM and they were returned in a couple of hours. Would recommend to others.

We enjoyed the views and the lovely hotel and room. We were highly disappointed with ourselves for not having gone to a local taverna to eat that night, because there were several large tour groups that made it expedient for the hotel to offer a buffet. They had the usual Greek selections of salads and desserts, but the hot buffet proved well overcooked, though we arrived right when it opened. The groups were polite, and there was certainly enough food, just overcooked or dried out. Having been through various parts of Greece already, we were used to seeing ripe tomatoes, freshly cooked food (though we'd not had a buffet on other parts of the trip, except at breakfast. We at least expected some nice grainy bread. Breakfast was similar, including no grainy bread, just white bread and white rolls, as well as left over dessert from the night before. Staying was nice, but not eating. Put on your walking shoes and hike the kilometer or less to a taverna.

Close to the Meteora with the good view and spacious parking lot, relaxable, good breakfast.

The hotel is very nice indeed. New. Comfortable rooms. Very quiet. Friendly staff. Good views of and very close to the Meteora. Located in the edgge of Kastraki which is the best side to drive to the Meteora. Access to the hotel is via a very well marked but fairly narrow rural road.
