"Lots of character, but not comfortable"

Old gasthaus with huge wooden ceiling beams and half timbered interior and exterior walls. But the floors were very creaky, so that we could hear every footstep and dropped thing above, as well as the conversations. As a result, we didn't feel comfortable moving around or getting up in the middle of the night for fear of waking the people below us. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable for my wife. Breakfast was okay. Parking was easy (across the street) but I'm not sure it was part of the inn (not explained at check-in). It was convenient (5k away) for getting to Rothenburg odT, where you can park for 5euro per day.

It was very nice hotel in peaceful and calm country side. The owners of this luxury hotel were very kind, warm and welcoming for us. Location was not bad. It takes just 5 minutes to old town and central by car. Breakfast was fantastic too ! I want to recommend this hotel strongly.

"Lovely hotel close to Rothenburg Ob der Tauber"

We booked two rooms at this hotel. One of the rooms (not the one that I was staying in) was significantly bigger and more luxurious. Definitely request the larger room. Something else to consider is that there is no lift to the upstairs rooms. Adequate parking on-site and breakfast was delicious! Very affordable.
