"Great location to Rothenburg"

One night stop over visiting Rothburg. Hotel was quaint in a residential area, family operated. We got in late and left early the next morning. The only down side was the Church bells ringing ALL NIGHT long. Hard to sleep!

"Wonderful 225 year old guest house"

Beautiful rural setting a few km outside Rothenburg. Old guesthouse with clean large modern rooms. Lovely German couple who made sure our stay was very comfortable. If you prefer older guest houses this is the perfect spot. Great breakfast but does not provide supper but there is a great brewery/ restaurant only 2 km away.

"Steinfeld"

Enjoyed our brief stay in a 225 year old farmhouse where our hostess grew up and so did her forebears dating from our Civil War. The house is an easy drive to Rothenburg.

"Highly recommended hotel"

In one word Excellent and it exceeded my expectations. The room are very clean and comfy. Mr and Mrs Beck were very caring about their guests during breakfast. The quality of the breakfast exceeds as well. The drive to Rothenburg was short and pleasant using country roads. In one word I can highly recommend this hotel and I would come back when I am visiting Rothenburg again.

"Noising wood floor, big clean room Good Breakfast"

Big Room, Clean, Bathroom has a little Low ceilings. The wood floor is very noising. Breakfast was very good.

"Wonderful, classic Pension as long as not too hot."

Having a car, we were able to be close to, but outside of Rothenburg. It's about 5 KM or 5 minutes drive to Parking Lot 5, the closest external lot to the city. Don't forget to buy the parking ticket - we did and it cost 10 Euros although the parking rate might have been just as high as the fine. The hotel building is just beautiful and the rooms are decorated with a lot of attention to detail. The bath was quite new and modern. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. The business is run by a very caring and considerate and conscientious family. Negatives: At 6 AM, the church bells play a symphony which might be problematic to those looking to sleep late. Also, the building is not air-conditioned. The rooms have lots of windows but you are subject to the outside conditions. It was HOT when we stayed so a bit of discomfort. Overall, lovely place if you are driving and if it isn't too hot outside.
